He Junlin found yet another bag of the snacks that were always left on his desk at lunch time.

He came into the classroom before lunch ended in a failed attempt to find the person who leaves the snacks on his desk.

It's always the same snack and there hasn't been a day in five years when he didn't get it at lunch time.

It couldn't have been difficult to find the person who left him the snack. All he had to do was look for one of the only three people in the entire school who bought them at the student store. It was a well known fact that only three people would buy them. But Junlin didn't pay attention to the gossip that spread, he was always too busy eating, studying, or talking to his best friend, Yan Haoxiang. They were in the same class and sat next to each other.

He sat down, opened the snack bag, and started to eat.

Haoxiang walked into the classroom scanning the room to see if there were any clues leading to the person who left the snacks.

"Did you see anyone?"

"There wasn't anyone here when I came in."

"Are you sure it isn't just a fan?"

"I'm sure. I told you this person has been leaving them for five years, it can't simply be a fan."

"But what kind of person would like someone for five years straight without telling them."

"And that's exactly why I asked for your help," Junlin turned to Haoxiang, who was now sitting next to him, and put his hand on his shoulder, leaving it there for a few moments before going back to eating.

A girl walked into the classroom eating from a snack bag. Junlin immediately recognized it as the same type of snack that was left on his desk everyday. She turned her attention to the two other people in the room and saw that Junlin was eating the same snack at his desk.

Her eyes widened in excitement as she saw the open bag, "Do you also like these?" she pointed to the snack she was eating. "All of my friends hate them."

"Yes, I like them. I eat them almost every day."

"Oh really! Me too!!"

The girl looked really excited and this made Haoxiang scoff a little and the girl noticed. Her big, excited smile faded almost immediately.

"I think I know who the person you're looking for is," Haoxiang whispered in Junlin's ear.

"Xiao Jie," another girl said as she put her arm around her friend, "why are you just standing here, let's sit down."

Xiao Jie wasn't actually her name but she eventually got used to everyone calling her that, with the exception of her family and teachers .

She was from an affluent family in the area. The youngest of three children, the only daughter in the family, younger sister to twin brothers. She was never top of the class but was always a close second. She was regarded as the prettiest girl in the school by almost everyone. She didn't like having this attention but in a way it was inevitable.

Her friend led her to their seats, they sat next to each other.

"Xiao Jie, has your family decided where you're going for the break?"

"Um, I think I heard my dad say we were going to Beijing or Seoul."

"Seoul!? Wow, your family- I have no words."

"Xiao Man, please stop talking about this, you know I don't like talking about this," she said as she put her hand on her forehead leaning her arm on the table.
