Liu Yaowen was in the car. He didn't know where he was going.

One of the talent scouts dragged him along and all he heard was "same age."

The talent scout thought that if someone close to the age of the person he wanted to scout was with him, they would be more likely to accept. And he hoped that the fact that Yaowen was in a well known boy group would be more convincing.

"Yaowen, you know where we're going right?"

Yaowen took his attention off his phone as soon as he heard someone talking to him.

"Umm, no. I wasn't paying attention when you told me in the building. But since it's you then I guess you're trying to scout someone, right? I just don't know why I was dragged along."

"That's because you weren't listening when I told you why. You just let me pull your arm with no complaints."

"Oh, I just wanted to get out of practice today. It's been tiring lately, you know? I've barely been able to watch this show that I like so I thought that this could be a good opportunity to watch it." Yaowen said as he smiled innocently.

"Yaowen, Yaowen, what are we going to do with you," the scout sighed while shaking his head slightly.

"Hmm, I don't know but the car stopped. What are we doing again?"

"There's this girl that I want to scout. She comes to this area very often around this time to busk. I've seen her for about six or seven months here but someone posted a video of her on social media so I want to scout her before any other company gets to her first."

"Oh. But then why didn't you approach her before? Wouldn't that have been easier?"

"I tried when I first saw her here and then a few months after that and also about two weeks ago, but she walked away all three times."

"Oof, that's harsh."

The two males got out of the car and walked a little bit until they saw a small crowd surrounding someone that was playing a guitar and singing. It was a soft song that suited the voice perfectly.

The scout pulled Yaowen along with him to go near the front of the crowd to see the girl.

"Oh! I saw a video of her on weibo yesterday before I went to sleep. She's really good."

The girl ended the song and there were a few claps heard. There was a man that approached her with a business card in his hand. He didn't leave until he forced the card in her hand since she was not accepting it.

When the man left, someone else approached her, it was a woman this time. She tried to give her business card like the man before her but the girl wouldn't take it. The woman asked the girl why she wouldn't take it and she responded that she knew she would probably not be happy in a company where there are mostly adult artists. The woman nodded and told the girl that she was very talented and walked away, putting away the card.

The girl started to play another song. Some people walked away and others stopped to join the crowd.

"When are you going to approach her? Are we going to be here for a long time? I'm getting a bit hungry."

"Be a little more patient, Yaowen. She usually leaves around this time so that's when I'll go up to her."

Yaowen nodded and continued to enjoy her singing and playing.

The song ended and she bowed and thanked people for listening. She stood up from where she was sitting. She was sitting on top of her guitar case so she was basically sitting on the ground with her legs criss-crossed. The crowd had dissipated by this point and then another person walked up to her but he looked to be around her age and they whispered something to each other.
