Days went by so quickly. A week had almost passed since Cubic was locked in the safe room. This was just another one of those days, one where Y/N would go to work, then go on break just to talk to him. It started to become a routine. Y/N even rented out a room so they could keep an eye on him.

Y/N didn't understand how much Cubic was actually starting to enjoy their company. He knew that they were a pure shape and he wasn't, but, he couldn't help but start to see them as a friend.

I walked down the hallway, carrying a basket of food. It was still hot. I made my way to the door, stopping in front of it. I stared, setting the basket of food down and unlocking the door, picking it back up again. I walked into the room, setting it down on a table. I looked at Cubic and smiled. He stared for a second, still slightly confused. He took the basket, giving me a small thanks. I sat down near him.

"Hey." He stared, I just smiled at him.

"Hi! How are you feeling today?" I asked.

He looked down for a second, "Eh, I'm okay I guess..."

I sighed, staring down myself. I heard him whispering something while sitting there, probably lost in thought. Something about not being stuck. I stared for a second.

"Y'know, I could let you out- well, on one condition..." I smiled, he perked up and looked at me.

"What is it?" He stared.

"If you promise to stay in my room and not run away, you can get out of here." I smiled, he seemed to be contemplating it for a bit.

"Okay, fine... I'll stay... I'm sick of being in this little closet." He looked down, slightly annoyed.

I stood, helping him up. When I touched his hand it felt slightly electric. It kinda hurt, but not too much. I let go, leading him out of the room. I hid him from people coming into the Lodge, if they saw him I don't know what they would do. I got to the room, unlocking the door. It was on the 2nd floor, having a nice view of the forest from one of the windows. Two beds. I let him in, he looked around for a bit before sitting on one of the beds. I smiled. I looked down at my phone, it was nearly time for me to go back onto my shift.

"O-oh! I need to go back, you stay here okay? I trust you." I smiled, he only waved. I closed the door, not locking it this time.

I went back downstairs, finishing my shift. God, I hope he doesn't leave while I'm not there. Hours started to go by and I forgot that he was still in my room.

Once my shift ended, I started to go back upstairs. I felt so tired. I went up to my door, opening it slightly. He was still there. I went inside, sighing. He looked at me, giving me a small hello before turning his attention to a book he was reading. I looked around my room, everything had a slightly pink hue, sorta like the safe room he was in. I think he's causing it, but I'm not too sure.

I sat down on my bed, turning away from him. I started taking off my work uniform, and putting on a soft hoodie. I looked behind me, Cubic still reading his book unbothered.

"Hey, I'm gonna go to sleep, don't be too loud okay?" I smiled, he turned his attention towards me and nodded.

I laid there, the night starting to seep into my brain. I didn't even hear him get up...

Cubic stood up, looking back at the sleeping form beside him. He knew he made a promise, but he didn't want to die here. He didn't want to admit it, but he didn't really believe that Y/N was some nice person. They had an ulterior motive, right?

Doesn't everyone?

He walked over to the door, closing it quietly behind him. He tried to be as silent as possible, sneaking around the floor for a while until he found the staircase again. He eventually made his way to the lobby. He needed to find the Cyan hero.

He didn't want to die...

He stood at the door, feeling somewhat guilty. He knew he made a promise, but he was in danger, right? He didn't understand why he was feeling this way. He looked back at the staircase, then at the main doors before he finally made his decision.

"I'm sorry, but I have to do this."

The lobby was so empty, the wind sweeping through the open doors. The traces of pink led outside, slowly fading.
