I slipped out of my dreams again, being met with sunlight shining in my eyes. I blinked a couple times before pulling myself up and stretching. It felt like everything that had happened was just one big dream, until I turned my head.

I looked over to the sleeping figure beside me, his breaths shallow and soft. I smiled to myself, I couldn't help but smile seeing him.

I looked down, a pink hue spreading slowly to my floor.

I looked away, slowly getting up. I looked over to him again before looking to my closet, pulling out my work clothes. I went back over and sat down on my air mattress, trying to be silent. I turned my back to the corrupt, changing into my work clothes. I reached behind myself, touching the scar on my back. I felt a small sigh slip out of me, the memories of that day still going through my head. I stopped myself from thinking too deep, putting on my shirt.

The room felt silent, but I even noticed the sound of movement on my bed.

I turned around quickly, the corrupt I've grown accustomed to now staring at me, a flustered look of confusion and shock on his face. We stared at each other, my face heating up.

He just watched, didn't he?

"Did- Did you just-"

"I-Im sorry." He stuttered out, looking away quickly.

I paused, "H-Hey it's alright! I-I didn't know you were awake." I smiled, although a little nervously.

The room fell silent after that, and I continued to get ready, grabbing my bag. Cubic didn't look at me once, his face still a deeper shade than it's ever been. I grabbed some things I know I'll need, before turning to him.

"Okay, I'm going to work now. Please don't leave my room." I sheepishly smiled.

He nodded in response, staring at me with his soft eyes. His gaze felt comforting as I left, it filled me with a type of peace I hadn't felt for a while.

The day drew on since I got there. Work felt a bit boring, especially since nothing new was going on. I couldn't help but zone out, thinking of Cubic. He was always on my mind ever since, I can't not think about him. His soft eyes, fluffy hair, everything about him felt comforting now. Especially since he wasn't trying to kill me anymore.

The day went by pretty quickly, not much had happened beside the few fights outside. I walked through the cold snow, the clouds thick and murky overhead. The woods had a pinkish tint to them, some trees a deeper hue than others. I walked down the trail to my home. It slowly came into view. The setting sun sat in the distance, but something seemed off. I grabbed my keys, opening the door.

When I stepped in, I was met with a crash, my brother pulling out his weapon, like he was ready to fight. My parents stood at the end of the stairway. I couldn't help but feel nervous at the sight. I walked up, staring at them.

"H-Hey, what's going on?" I whispered.

"Y-Y/N!" My mother softly shouted, "There's a- a corrupt in your room- we're going to try and fight it" she said, gripping her weapon tightly, fear in her quivering voice.

I froze, they- they found him. I tried to keep myself together, though my voice shook more than it should've. "H-Hey, guys calm down!" I said, "I-I figure something out i just-"

"Y/N. I saw the corrupt in your room." My brother said, blankly.

"Y-Yeah..."

"The window wasn't open, and all the doors were locked, even yours..." he stared, "Y/N- Did you-"

"Guys, I have an idea!" I spoke over him, getting the attention of my parents. "Since he's in my room, I-I should be the one to fight him. I can-"

"No," my father started, "It's too dangerous to fight one of those things on your own."
