"Hey I'm hosting a dinner tonight wanna come?" I text Ben and Micheal
"If you're cooking hell yes." Ben texts back
"Sure can I bring someone?" Micheal texts
"Hot date?" I tease
"Ha ha I was wondering if Lando and Danny could join."
"Uh yeah sure." I text back in shock
I call Ben and he picks up after five damn rings. That boy is useless sometimes.
"Hello?" He answers
"Pick up quicker next time!"
"Sorry I was making lunch. Chicken sandwich."
"Did you kill the chicken yourself?" I say sarcastically
"Very funny now what's so important?"
"Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo are joining us tonight."
"Wait really?" Ben asks
"Yes really!"
"Well looks like dinner for 7 then."
"Yes it does."
I hang up and tell Kyla and Henry the news before I decide I should decide what to wear tonight. I head to my bedroom and go through about 20 outfits. I finally decide on a black dress after what feels like forever.
At 3pm I head to the kitchen to start dinner.
"Hey Alexa play my cooking playlist."
"Playing cooking playlist."
I start on my chicken curry dancing along to my playlist as I go. While my curry thickens I decide to set the table and tidy the living room. I take my apron off and hang it up before hearing a knock on the door.
"Hey y/n." Henry says as he and Kyla both give me hugs.
"Hey guys come on in." I smile and move to the side
"God it smells amazing in here y/n." Kyla says as she sits on the sofa
"Thanks it's my chicken curry."
"Well if tastes half as good as it smells we might have to eat round yours every night." Kyla laughs
"Thanks." I smile as another knock sounds on the door
"Is that your famous chicken curry I can smell?" Ben asks as he walks in sniffing the air.
"It is Benny." I laugh as I follow him in and check on my curry which is almost done. I turn it down so it's just being kept warm while we wait for Micheal, Lando and Daniel.
I pour 5 glasses of champagne and some sparkling apple juice for Lando and Kyla.
"Got something to tell us?" Kyla asks as she spots the other apple juice
"That's for Lando he's not much of a drinker apparently." I laugh as the door goes once more "Speak of the devil."
"Hey guys." I say as I hug each of them in turn "come on in."
I hand them their respective drinks and sit everyone at the table as I dish up my curry.
"Okay" I say as I sit down "dig in." I smile
"Oh my god this is so good." Micheal smiles
"Seconded!" Ben says "but then again I'm bias" he laughs.
"I'm glad you like it." I smile "You all like chocolate cheesecake?"
"Um yes. Obviously." Kyla smiles.
"Well that's good because I made some for dessert." I say
"Hold up" Daniel says "you made a whole pot of curry and a chocolate cheesecake and still had time to set the table and clean the kitchen?"
"Yeah." I nod
"Okay you are amazing or Jesus, possibly both." He laughs
"Shut up." I laugh
"No I'm serious! That level of put together-ness is amazing." He smiles
"Flirting." Ben whispers as he nudges me
"Don't be stupid he's just being nice." I whisper
"I'm not I know what I'm seeing." Ben smiles
"Sure you do Benny."
Once everyone finishes I grab the bowls and take them to the kitchen to wash up.
"Hey."
"Jesus!" I jump "Kyla you scared me." I laugh
"Sorry" she laughs "you're popular tonight." She smiles
"Oh please don't you start." I roll my eyes
"I mean can't blame them you're hot." She smiles
"Them?"
"C'mon the boys, with the exception of Henry, have been flirting all night." She says
"No they haven't" I say drying the dishes "you and Ben are seeing things. Now shoo and let me dish up dessert!"
"I'm going I'm going!" She says as she heads back to the living room.
"Honestly." I mutter to myself as I cut up the cheesecake.
"-and so y/n has to literally carry me back to our hotel!" Ben finishes as I walk in with dessert
"Which time are we on about?" I tease
"Mexico."
"Oh yeah I remember that."
"Of course you do it's when you got your first tat-" Ben pauses as he looks at me "-too that was supposed to be a secret wasn't it?"
"Ding ding." I say sarcastically
"Sorry." Ben says
"It's okay."
"I think we all need to see this tattoo." Henry chimes in
"It's not very exciting." I say as I show the small penguin tattoo on my wrist
"Why a penguin?" Daniel asks
"Why a honey badger?" I smile
"It's my spirit animal." He smiles
"There's your answer." I say as I take a bite of the cheesecake and smile
"So a penguin is your spirit animal?" Lando asks
"Yep." I smile
"How?" He asks
"Simple they're cute and associated with Christmas."
"That's very true." Ben laughs
"This cheesecake is delicious by the way." Micheal smiles
"I'll pack some for you guys to take home." I smile as I clean up the plates.
"You don't have to."
"It's okay I want to." I say as I head to the kitchen and pack a few slices into boxes for them.
"Thank you for the dinner." Kyla says as she and Henry hug me goodnight.
"Dinner was incredible y/n thank you and thank you for the cheesecake." Micheal says as he, Lando and Daniel hug me in turn.
"No problem" I smile "I'm glad you had a good time."
"They were totally flirting with you tonight." Ben says as he walks out the door.
"Were not!" I yell after him.
Once everyone leaves I clean all the plates and put them away before heading to bed. They weren't flirting right?
