The sushi was going missing.
Again.
Aoi looked around, the dust cleaner in her hand. She knew that it wasn't Tanjiro, nor Nezuko. They were too good-hearted. Kanao was too quiet to eat to much.
So it was either Zenitsu or Inosuke.
So when Inosuke snuck in through the semi-open window, she really wasn't all that surprised when he stuffed a sushi roll into his mouth, his eyes twinkling mischievously.
"Inosuke!" she yelled. The bluenette turned to her.
He clearly had been timing this right.
Aoi frowned. He looked paler and hungry.
What medication were the girls feeding him that made him so hungry?
He was feeding on the the sushi, almost abnormally. He didn't stop even as she continued to pester him with insults. He immediately turned and continued to eat.
"Inosuke, you're starving."
His eyes windened when he realized that she was talking to him. Softly, he nodded.
Aoi grumbled. Despite him stealing the food that she had worked so hard to create was now messed up, she couldn't help but pity him.
"Here. Let me teach you."
...
Soon they were settled on a bench near the window, the moonlight illuminating the steam of the food. Inosuke gobbled up the plate and immediately demanded another.
Frustrated, Aoi slapped him upside the head.
Inosuke groaned in pain.
"You just ate one! Where's your manners?" she demanded.
"Aoi! Tanjiro has another scar, and-" Shinobu walked in on the two children, curled up near the window.
"Aoi... I didn't know that you and Inosuke were-" Shinobu grew red, but a smile spread across her face.
"Kochou? Did you find Aoi-?" Tomioka-san rounded the corner, only for his eyes to fall on the two, causing Aoi's face to grow redder.
"Tomioka-san! What are you doing here?!" SHinobu hissed, "I told you to wait for me to apply your medicine later!"
Tomioka blinked.
"But, you invited-"
Shinobu shushed him.
"Aoi, Tanjiro needs you to tend to him. Kanao is busy." Shinobu prodded, shooing away Giyu with a wave of the hand.
Inosuke's grin disappeared.
"Actually, Aoi and I, we're doing something."
"Oh." Shinobu muttered, "I'll take care of it."
Aoi blushed at Inosuke's comment. He wanted her to stay?
"I don't want to burn down the kitchen." he added. Aoi's lips formed a frown. It was endearing, she guessed.
A food fetish.
...
Flashback:
Inosuke grinned widely. Lately Nezuko had been telling him about the wonderful cooking lessons Aoi had helped her with. She had learned to make dumplings and dim sum with Aoi. So that means that if he ate more of her food, she would need more help in the kitchen.
And she would ask him.
Not very likely, but there was a great chance.
So he didn't expect when Aoi was waiting there, ready to smack him for taking her food.
