        {[Eamon]}

        "Tonight you'll be a full fledged Shifter." Alyssa had said.

        Looking back on supper, his mood felt... strange. He didn't know what was going on anymore, as he trekked through the silent town at night. The full moon hung above us, providing light. Alyssa walked beside me, her black cloak was back on her shoulders, the hood down.

        She seemed to glow in the moonlight, shining bright as she seemed to skip ahead and neared the edge of town and out into the woods. Alyssa looked at Greg. "He won't be able to keep up with us. You'll have to carry him."

        Greg didn't seem to like it that he was being commanded by her, but he only nodded. He slung me over his back like I weighed nothing. I opened my mouth to protest, but Father sent me a glare that told me not to talk now.

        Then everything was a blur, passing us by in what seemed to be the speed that only non-humans could do. I looked at everyone who was running; Greg, Alyssa, and Father. They all just seemed to be jogging and weren't even breaking a sweat.

        We got to a clearing in less than ten minutes and it was simply amazing. I got off of Greg's back. A small river ran through the middle where Alyssa crossed in one bound.

        "Acting a little excited, are we, little girl?" Father felt the need to tease her.

        Alyssa shot him a surprised look. "I'm twenty-one."

        We all stared at her; her black hair, hanging down in long ringlets and her heart shaped face. She recovered.

        "And, may I ask, how old are you?" she asked, boldly.

        "Physically? Foury-four." he said, chuckling.

        "Wait. What do you mean, 'physically'?" I asked.

        "We're all immortal, Mr. Price." Alyssa explained. "We quit aging around a certain time."

        "And just how old are you?"

        "I'm, probably, two-hundred years old? I don't really keep track." Father said, pondering for a moment.

        I looked at Greg.

        "I'm ony sevent-three." he said, holding up his hands.

        I gaped at them. "What about you?"

        Alyssa saddened under my gaze. "Fivehundred-thirty-six years."

        Everyone stared at her.

        She looked up at the moon. "It's time." she said, softly.

        {[Alyssa]}

        A soft wind picked up, rustling the trees. I closed my eyes, focusing all my energy on the earth.

        Shifters started to come out of the woods, on Aiden's side of the river, already Shifting into their animal forms. Wolves, eagles, panthers, tigers, foxes, monkeys, every animal that God created... they were all there. Aiden changed into his animal form, a silver lion, tall and proud, a fit Overlord.

        Eamon looked around in amazement. I also stared, but I stared at him, amazed that he hadn't known about his heritage still baffled me.

        I took a deep breath, knowing that a witch had to be present for the Ceremony to proceed.

        "Eamon Price." I said, my voice ringing out. Everyone turned towards me. "Son of Aiden Price, Overlord of Shifters. You, who has been kept in the dark, do you accept your background? Your family?"
