Bring It On: In It To Win It

Camp Victory(Day 6)

The next day we had a hard core practice. Our routine was finally coming together.

"Look I'm cool about us coming out to the public." I said to Ruben as he was about to put me in a stunt.
"Please you're just saying that so I'll try and catch you." he said with a smirk. "Try!?" I said in fear as he put me up.

We practiced choreography, jumps, stunts for what felt like 10 hours. It was less stress seeing this come together. But I still felt like something big was missing.

After practice Brooke and I were staring at Camp Victory. Brooke pulled out her "Art of War" as Carson ran up to us.

"That was tight. You know what? I think we could actually win this." she said confidently. "Maybe we should make sure." I said. "Compare the opposing army so you may know where strength lies." Brooke said out of the book. "Recon?" Carson and I said. We walked back to the team and said we need to get disguises.

We all peek up from a bush in disguises. "They practice on stage 70A" I say. "Find it!" Brooke said. "Recon positions by texting only" I said. "Break!" Brooke said. We all separate and go looking for their practice spot. Of course Ruben and I go together.

"Never thought I'd be doing this" I said. "There's a lot of things we didn't think we'd be doing." Ruben said. "I'm so glad we are back together and I'm so glad this is working out in your favor because I know you were stressed." he said. "Yeah I know it's crazy, all of this but- hey look stage 70A. There's Penn and Carson" I said. We go up to them and realize it's a 221 pyramid to get up the balcony.

The guys throw Brooke, Carson, and I up to get on the balcony. We make our way in and see the rest of the team at the bottom of the steps. "Wait how'd you guys get in here?" Carson asked. "Seriously that guy wasn't even a real guard." Chelsea said. She said something else but I ignored it cause I saw the curtains. Everyone else joined me and we saw the Flamingos and there secret weapon and it was practically amazing.

We leave in disappointment. "Vance wasn't bluffing" "There tumblings amazing." Ruben said. I gave him a look. "The flamingos are like-" "Better than us". Penn and Ruben said. "We need to come up with something really good." Carson said. I heard Brooke snap back but i didn't care because I realized something. I walked over to the Double-Dragon roller coaster and saw how it was designed and that's when I realized this is what we need. Carson and Brooke walked over to me. "I don't think Sun Tzu would be riding a roller coaster Maddy." Brooke said to me. "You see how the red and blue rails loop, criss-cross then corkscrew away?" I said. "Yeah almost like a double helix." Penn said. "That will be the path of the two flyers." I stated. "Sweet" Chelsea and Sarah both said. "No ones ever done that before." Aiysha said. "We're gonna need something new if we wanna win." Brooke said. "Imagine if we pull it off. That would be sick." Sarah said. "But is it possible?" Ruben questioned. "Yeah it's gonna be real difficult for the flyers. Who's gonna do it?" Penn asked. Brooke, Carson and I looked at each other.

"It would make sense for a Jet and a Shark to do it." Carson said. "So of course Carson but Maddy or Brooke?" Penn said. "Look Maddy you came up with the idea and you're a better flyer than me so please do it." Brooke said "Are you sure?" i asked. She gave me the reassuring look.

Next thing you know Carson and I are practicing the stunt. It took us multiple times to get it right. I even face planted. I never seen Ruben run that fast. I was fine and got back up. We finally hit it and this is when I knew this was the big thing we were missing.

Later that night we were in Carson's room recycling our old uniforms and putting them together. Penn came in with a hot press for the uniforms and said "You'll see for yourselves when we win tomorrow." Brooke, Carson and I looked at each other.
