• Still Hwayoung's P.O.V •
2 hours laterAfter we finished eating, my mom and Jimin engaged in lively conversation, practically forgetting that I was even present. While they talked, Jimin still made sure to give me occasional attention.
As the conversation winded down, Jimin decided it was time to leave, and Mom and I followed him outside.
He smiled and bowed respectfully at her, "Thank you for the food, Ms. Choi. It was truly pleasant meeting you."
Mom chuckled in response, "It's alright; I could never refuse my daughter's man." Her words made my eyes widen, and I playfully poked her waist, letting out a light whine.
Jimin's eyes widened as well, and he attempted to speak, "Wait, what? I have a wiー"
Mom quickly interrupted, "Oh, oh, oh. I think you should head back home. It's a bit windy, and the sky's turning gray; it might rain." She intertwined her arm with mine, using me for support.
Jimin chuckled awkwardly and nodded, "Alright." He took out his keys, unlocking his car with a beep. He glanced at me one last time before getting into the driver's seat.
Mom suddenly nudged my arm, "Huh, his car looks really good. Just imagine what you and him might do in the backseat and-"
I hastily whisper-yelled, stomping my foot, "Mom!"
Jimin thankfully did not overhear our conversation, but his attention was drawn to us.
He slowly bowed his head again, "I'll see you guys again."
Just as he was about to close the door, he shot me a playful wink, which of course caught my mother's attention.
My face flushed red with embarrassment as mom nudged my shoulder repeatedly, clearly amused by the wink Jimin had just given me.
As Jimin beeped his car and drove away, my mother maintained that sly smile on her face, clearly enjoying the whole interaction.
"Let's go back inside." I suggested, helping mom make her way into the house and closing the door behind us, securing the latch with the rope.
"Ahhh..." My mother sighed as she settled down on the couch, the sound of rain beginning to fall outside.
"Huh... It rained right after he left." She whispered.
I sat down beside her, and she looked up at me, a warm smile on her face. "Jimin's a wonderful man. I'm glad you brought him here."
"Actually, he was ill, that's why I stayed with him last night." I confessed.
Mom's eyes widened, "Wait, he was sick?" I nodded in response, "So does that mean... You took care of him?" Another nod from me.
Suddenly, her smile transformed into a mischievous one, "Does that mean you guys slept together?"
I shook my head vigorously, gasping in shock. "W-Wait, what?! No, of course not!" I protested, but mom's teasing look only intensified.
"Fine! We slept on the same bed, okay?"
Mom let out an excited squeal, clapping her hands together. "Oh my! What did you guys do?!" She asked, her question causing me to blush furiously.
"U-Uhhh... Nothing, we did nothing," I answered, but mom looked unconvinced, her jaw dropping in disbelief. "H-He was sick, so of course how can we have se..." Her words trailed off.
"Right, he was." She replied awkwardly, scratching the back of her neck sheepishly.
Mom's tone softened, expressing her happiness for me, "But really, I'm happy for you, dear."
