few minutes later

I stepped out of my small room, wearing shorts and a huge shirt while my nose was completely red and runny. Stepping on the last step of our dusty and wooden stair, I finally made my way downstairs, my eyes immediately looking down after seeing Mom sitting there, lost in her thoughts and somehow looking numb.

Opening my mouth to speak, I was about to say something until she took the opportunity to do so, "Who's his wife?" That's what she asked.

My eyes automatically looked down, tears threatening to fall out but I held them back, not wanting to let out more after crying for more than an hour.

The only person who I always thought was his sister.

"YーY/N..." I bit my lips, immediately darting my head down as a lonely tear managed on falling down to my cheeks, mentioning her name.

"Who is even that woman?" Mom suddenly scoffed, turning her head aside.

I glanced at her with my hopeless eyes, "Who... Whom I once thought was his sister, but he corrected me admitted she's his wife." I replied, holding my tears back with a broken heart.

I wandered my gaze to my Mother and saw she was mad, causing me to bit my lips and approach her direction, slowly pulling her for a hug and cried in her arms, which did made her soften.

I sobbed, "Mom... Please don't anger yourself, don't forget you are still in a war and fighting your sickness. Don't pressure yourself, I will handle everything between Jimin and I." I stroked her back while Mom held on my arm, hoping I can calm down and stop crying.

But there'll never be a way to stop these endless tears.

What did go wrong?

A heavy sigh left my mouth, soon fixing my tie and adjusted my watch on my wrist, "Calm down Jimin. It's not a big deal, she'll move on from me." I whispered to myself as a notification popped on my phone at the same time.

Reaching for my device, I took it from the nightstand as a smile carved on my face after seeing Y/N's name being displayed on top of her message. I scrolled it and entered my password, which is obviously her birthday and automatically went to our messages.
