Food, water, better shelter, here we go.

You walk around, Mei never leaving your side, holding your hand and having one whole arm of yours in her embrace.

Y/N: Mei? You okay?

Mei shakes her head before putting it back down into your arm.

Y/N: Alright. We'll talk once we have some food and water and stuff.

Mei nodded, her head going down as you said that.

Y/N: Mei. How about a kiss?

Mei perked up a little, you took your opportunity and kissed her lips.

Y/N: There you go. Now, we should need enough to survive until... someone can bail us out again, we should stay near where we showed up.

Mei: Yeah... I also made this water bottle out of some stuff I had on me.

She pats her side, showing the water bottle she had made.

Y/N: You're awesome Mei, you know that? I hope you do.

Mei: Thanks.

She rests her head on your arm as she leans into you.

Y/N: Now. Here's a nice, fresh body of water.

Mei: Cool. We're gonna live.

Y/N: It was pretty much a straight walk too, good.

You saw the water stretch on for a bit, realising it was a river, or a small river, with fish, not that you knew how to gut or fillet one though, so that information was fairly useless.

Y/N: Mei. You happen to know how to prepare a fish, from being caught to cooked?

Mei: Can't say I do. Sorry.

Y/N: It's okay.

You kiss her forehead before returning to the task at hand.

Shit. I mean, any other animal shouldn't be too hard. Bit of flesh, bit of meat, get rid of the hair, skewer, over the fire, done.

You just had to find said animal.

Y/N: To be honest, those fish do look more like a reliable food source.

Mei: True.

Y/N: Fuck it. We'll figure it out.

You snap a branch off the tree and take a few splinters of it out, leaving only the sharpest points on the end.

Y/N: Mei. You happen to have a knife?

Mei: I have a damn gun, of course I have a knife.

She pulls a Swiss Army knife from her pocket, giving it to you.

Looking at the weapons she seemed to have on her... you exhaled in a sigh at the thought but perhaps...

Does she... trust me?

You went along with it, knowing that the task at hand was more important at the moment.

Your hand runs the knife over the sides of your makeshift spear, sharpening it to a roughly fine edge.

Mei: Nice. You're doing great babe.

Y/N: Hey Mei?

You look down a bit, holding the knife pointed towards the ground.

Mei: Honey? You okay?

She went over towards you and hugged you around your shoulders.

Mei: What's up?
