Settling in

Nexten woke up and stood up from his chair, the bed being taking by U. The day prior they had their 'incident' as he called it (seriously, who kisses a girl they just met and almost tried to kill him) and after that they had to figure out where to have U sleep and considering no one in their right mind would trust a dissasembly drone, Nexten was forced to watch over her which meant sharing his room.

In other words, They were roommates.

U didn't like the idea very much either, but she really didn't have a say in the matter, it was either deal with it or have to sleep outside which she didn't feel like going anywhere far after the fight they had. His room was surprisingly tidy, say for a crumpled piece of paper around where he worked. "Um, Nexten where am I gonna sleep, we got one bed." Nexten thought for a moment, the colony had spare beds in case this situation where to occur but he didn't have energy either.

"Just take the bed, I'll handle this situation in the morning." He sat on his work chair, placing his rail gun on a weapon rack he cobbled together.

"But where are you gonna be sleeping." She sat down on the bed, it definitely beat whatever was in her old pod.

"The chair is comfy enough, now sleep" He put his hat to cover his eyes and went of to sleep. U followed suit.

Nexten was taking out of his flashback when he heard a knock in the door. Opening it he saw it was his mother, he prepared himself for the worse when she spoke up. "So the council and I had a meeting today and..."

"...I'm being kicked out, exiled, executed"

"Were a appointing you as a scientist." Nexten raised an brow toward the supposedly good news.

"And my assignment would be..?"

She looked over his shoulder and pointed towards U. "Studying the new colony members." Nexten gave a nod since he was planning on staying close by U anyway, this just gave him an excuse to do it more. Jade was about to leave before she spoke again. "Soo, when can I expect grandkids"

"MOM!!" Nexten's visor was bright green as Jade was laughing at his response. He closed his door and went back to his chair and reluctantly began taking notes.

U woke up soon after Nexten's confrontation with his mother. "Well looks like someone slept well." He pointed towards her bed head, which she promptly straightened before putting on her beanie.

"So what have you been doing while I slept" She sat on the bed

"Not much, first off I've been promoted to a scientists" He pointed at her, "and I've been assigned to look over you and K."

"Why?" Nexten gave an unamused face.
"... actually nevermind I can guess why. Was there something else?"

"Well besides my mom asking for grandkids, no that would be all."

"Oh, ok" She took a second to fully understand what he meant "...WAIT WHAT THE FUCK?!" Nexten snickered at her reaction, U's visor looking the same as when Jade asked Nexten. "What is wrong with your mom?!"

"I dunno, must've not being too glad I got her yesterday." U calmed down.

"So, what are we doing today?"

"Well since my plans of getting a power cell and coming back before anyone notices and going back to my normal, boring life are out the window cause..." He pointed at U "I'll have to think of something, and frankly I need new parts for these," he pointed over several work in progress projects "which means going to the market." Nexten picked up his hat and a satchel and headed for the exit with U begrudgingly following.
