“This won’t do, this won’t do.” The elder woman hobbled around an open field, her fingers drumming together as she watched through her host's eyes. Vampires, her Lady was surrounded by vampires, and shifters. She almost gagged, though the shifter part wasn’t too bad, her Lord could easily deal with those if they became a problem, but the vampires are an issue.

She couldn’t help but wonder why they just couldn’t mind their own business, Aurora wasn’t anything they should be concerned about but it seemed their Seer was really interested in her. She wouldn’t blame them, her Lady was a one of a kind woman, beautiful and strong, she could see why they were interested, but her Lord wasn’t happy. They could harm her Highness and she couldn’t bare the thought of losing her again.

She would just have to up her game, like before, speed the process, and that vampire girl would do just great with that, but she had to get near her somehow, her lover was always close by watching her and she was still in the newborn phase which made it even dangerous. She might’ve been powerful but she wasn’t unstoppable, she could still die but was just harder to kill.

“I need to be back in my prime.” She muttered, she was getting old, missing the youth that helped her get through things so much faster than usual, this old woman role was just too much, she couldn’t get anything done like this.

She would need a source, something to give her youth temporarily if possible, but what? Items like that were hard to retrieve since they were so oddly specific to get. White rose, gold tooth, tears of a vampire, and hair from a child. She was positive that Forks didn’t have white roses, and if they did they were fake, and a golden tooth could only come from a creature that was soon learnt to be extinct. She didn’t know, she was getting desperate.

“My Lord, please!” She shouted, looking up, her eyes glazing over, “give me something! Something!” She wasn’t the type to ask for help, but this problem was detrimental, her Lady would be attending school soon and what better way to get close to her than by being in the same area as her? But she couldn’t do that looking her age, they would turn her away in fear of finishing her off because of the labor.

“White rose, gold tooth, tears of a vampire, and hair from a child.” She mused, blinking, her eyes still glazed over but that was from her tears of stress. She didn’t know what to do, and how to do it, two of those things were almost impossible to get.

Just wait

She paused, wait? Waiting was the best option, waiting was the only option, but did she really want to wait?

Tears of a pure maiden are white, a vampire's tears are made from their venom, gold feeds the greedy.

She screamed, excitement flooding her body, the ingredients were oddly specific, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t have any meaning to them, she had forgotten, magic held meaning. She could switch up the ingredients but not the meaning of the ingredients, genius! That's why she loved her Lord, he was a genius, it was an amatur move of her to forget such an important rule to magic, but luckily she had his Highness by her side to remind her.

“I’ll get it,” She smiled to herself, “I’ll bring her Highness back to you my Lord.” She began to walk off, her fingers drawing shapes in the air, she’ll get the harder ingredients and her host could provide the easier ones, their in a perfect area for it. One month, she needed to get it done in one month. She’ll have her Highnesses wings tainted before the end of the year, she was sure of it.

“Sam,” Paul would’ve lifted an eyebrow if he was human, “do you see that old lady?” He thought he was going crazy, why was there an old lady stumbling through the forest.

“Old lady?” Sam looked over in his direction and sure enough there was an old lady walking through the forest.

“Yeah,” Paul almost growled, she smelt toxic, worse than the Cullens and it burnt the hairs in his nose. He wanted her gone, she didn’t smell nor look like a good person.

“We are not attacking an old lady.” Embry scoffed at Paul, his thoughts invading his head, but he couldn’t help but agree, the older woman smelt dangerous, and he was beginning to feel a little sick just from the smell of her.

“No we aren’t attacking an old lady, but we do need to know why she's wandering so deep in the woods away from civilization.” A growl was given and everyone's thoughts vanished from each other’s head. They needed to concentrate, and the voices of everyone would’ve done no one any good, “Embry, Paul, and Quil, keep looking for that redheaded vampire.” Sam would do this alone, there was no need for the whole pack to be together while he tried talking to an elderly woman.

“Are you sure?” Quil snorted, the choked noise giving away just how unsure he was about leaving Sam to do it alone.

“Positive.” He reassured them, “what's the worst that could happen.” He didn’t know that he would soon be regretting those words, the old lady didn’t look like much, but everything is not what it seems is truly living up to it’s tale.
