Halloween Party

Winter POV

This is my first time joining SM event. We were all excited because Aespa was still a rookie and new to public events. But this year was different because of pandemic. There was no dinner party, only a photo event. Well, there was nothing we can do right?

Because this was a Halloween party, it mean that we had to wear costumes. It must be fun! Karina eonni, Giselle eonni, and Ningning had already decided on their costume. I was still confused about what I must wear for the party.

I browse on the internet to find an idea and I remember the hits Korean drama "Squid Game". So I decide to wear Younghee doll costume.

"Wah, I think you are suitable with that character!" Said Karina Eonni.

"Is that so? I'm not really confident though." I said.

"Aniya, you will look cute!" Said Giselle Eonni.

Well, my members tried to convince me so maybe I would wear that costume. I talked to coordi eonni about the costume and also make-up. Our manager also set our schedule for the photoshoot.

On the day we did the photoshoot, our manager said there was also another SM artist that did the photoshoot together with us. I didn't think much and felt happy because we could greet our sunbaenim.

I was the first that finish the make-up. My other members still did their hairdo especially Karina eonni that had the most complicated make-up and clothes. To kill my boredom, I decided to walk around the photoshoot location.

When I walked around I see the familiar figure in the distance. That was the guard character with a pink jumpsuit from Squid Game movie too. That person also notice me from afar and realize that we used costume characters from the same movie.

I was curious and walked towards that person as that person also came closer. As we got closer that person greet me first.

"Minjeong ssi?"

"Ne?" I confused.

That person pulled his masked. Now I knew who he was, and my heartbeat so fast as I saw his handsome face.

"Jaemin sunbaenim!" I automatically bowed in front of him.

"Seems we do the photoshoot at the same time." He smiled. That smile which always melted my heart.

"Ne, I guess so." I said, "We both use costumes from Squid Game characters."

He nodded, "Jeno also wears a similar costume with me."

"Ah, Jeno sunbaenim too? Where is he?" I asked out of formality.

"Hmm, maybe he is with other Dream Members. I just get bored and walk around." He said.

I just nodded.

"Ah, by the way, should we take a picture?" He asked.

"Oh, okay." I pulled my handphone and got ready to take a picture for him.

"Aniyo, we take a picture together." He said.

"Ne?" A pure shock struck me. What on earth Jaemin sunbaenim asked to take a picture together with me? It was just like a dream.

"Come here!" He pulled his own handphone and asked me to join him in taking a selfie.

I shyly came over and stood beside him. That was close and I swore I could smell his perfume. That was intoxicated and I was nearly drunk.

"One, two, three..." He counted.

I stiffly smiled and did a V sign.

We did the selfie several times. I was still in my daydreaming mode because, God! This felt unreal. Yes, I had a huge crush on him and this was like a dream come true.

"The picture is taken well." He said as he showed it to me.

I held his phone and saw the picture of us. The very first selfie of me and Jaemin sunbaenim.

"By the way, what's your number? So I can share the picture to you." Suddenly he said.

Wait, what!? Jaemin sunbaenim asked my number? So it means that we exchanged our phone number?? I never asked for more but seems God was very kind to me. I almost cried over this!!

He gave me his phone, I typed my number and I gave it back to him.

"Hmm, I will save it with 'Minjeong' Is it okay?" He asked.

"Ne, sunbaenim." I said as my phone rang for a bit.

"That's my number." He said.

I looked at his number as if that was the most precious treasure in the world. Oh my God, this was Jaemin sunbaenim numbers!!

"Thank you, Sunbaenim. I will save it." I said. I save his number by the name 'Jaemin Sunbaenim'.

"Okay, I'll send you the picture." He said.

I saw my phone and smiled. There the picture of me and Jaemin sunbaenim. I thought I would make this as my home screen.

Choosing this Halloween costume was just like a blessing. From this, I could take a picture with Jaemin Sunbaenim and moreover got his number too! What a jackpot!

"Thank you, Sunbaenim!" I said.

He just smiled at me. I looked at him and I wish the time stop. Seeing his smile was like a drug. Very addicting.

Suddenly my phone rang, it was my manager.

"Ah, I think I should go." I said.

"Okay, see you then, Minjeong ssi." He said.

I bowed to him and went away. It was a shame that I couldn't spend more time with him but wait? Did he just say 'See you?' Well, at least he wanted to see me again right? Well, I hope so. See you too, Jaemin Sunbaenim and I hope it would happen soon.
