One Sided?

CHAPTER 23 - Astha

Today some of dadi's friend were coming  to meet radha so after coming from office she prepared everything and in half hour the ladies arrived.

- "She is really beautiful."

- "Yeah Akshaj is really lucky."

- 'But you should wear saree."

- "yeah instead of wearing this salwar suit."

Dadi :- "She just came from office that's why other days she wears saree."

Chachi :- "Yeah and whats the problem in wearing salwar suit."

Mrs desai :- "Yeah exactly."

- "A woman should be covered always."

- "And Working with men?!"

Akshaj was going upstairs when he heard everything he was furious with the ladies.

Akshaj :- "What's the problem In wearing salwar suit?"

- "She is a woman she shouldn't be wearing such a clothes."

Akshaj :- "She can wear anything she wants even shorts she doesn't have to ask anyone's permission!"

Radha :-"Akshaj please...

- "You call your husband by his name?!"

Akshaj :- "Yes she does even i call her by her name and if I can do that then she can call me by my name too."

- "This is not our tradition!"

Akshaj :-"Do you even have any idea what real tradition are?!"

Dadi :- "Akshaj!"

Akshaj :-"Dadi please..Tell me in which Book it is written that woman should wear specific clothes?!"

The ladies were speechless akshaj glared at them and was about to leave but then the ladies spoke again.

-"Yeah Your sister had all the freedom look what she did."

Mrs desai :- "Please don't talk about my daughter like that!"

Akshaj :- "You can leave!"

The ladies looked at akshaj in shock.

Chachi :- "You heard it right please leave!"

The ladies got up and left dadi frowned.

Dadi :- "Because of Astha We still have to hear this!"

Akshaj :- "It was not Di's fault dadi please stop blaming her!"

With that akshaj strommed off to his room and radha too rushed to their room Akshaj punched the wall in anger.

Radha :- "Akshaj."

Akshaj :- "After everything that had happened dadi still blames di!!"

Radha kept a hand on his shoulder he seemed to calm down by her touch.

Akshaj :- "My di loved someone radha very dearly but unfortunately due to family's objection they had to part ways she was pregnant radha and even in that condition she had to leave the house i couldn't do anything because I was very young.!"

Tears formed in akshaj's eyes radha held his hand and gently squeezed it akshaj gave her a small smile and continued to talk.

Akshaj :-"She lives in nashik now she got a job there she has a Daughter her name is riddhi."
