CHAPTER 6 - چھٹا باب

THE KING IS IMPRESSED BY THE PRINCESS

LYANA WAS EXCITED, WAS THE UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE CENTURY. Her only sibling like person was getting married and she was especially excited about it. She had been so eager for the wedding that the past week or so, she had been commuting between her own home and that of the Mustafa's almost every other day. Bringing along with her trinkets and lists of ideas about the wedding decor. All the while keeping up with her truck load of assignments. After all her sister wasn't going to get married again and again. She had to utilise this one chance to live all her dreams.

Lyana was brimming with excitement as she ran inside the lounge of the Mustafa family. Squeezing herself in between her mother and her beloved aunt, Hoor. She placed a kiss on each of their cheeks, her eyes wandering over the glossy catalogue's the two women were consulting. Lyana gave her opinion on certain matters occasionally, keeping her ideas to herself mostly. Thanking the server, Lyana took a gulp of the orange juice, her hands holding on to the stem of the glass tightly.

"Lyana have you gotten you dress for the haldi?" Hoor carefully brushed her hair.

Lyana nodded her head, opening her phone to show the dress she had purchased. Despite being a designer in the making herself, Lyana preferred getting ready made dresses, they were ten times easier to use than designing one your ownself.

"Rania aunty you guys are staying the night to get henna done right?" Qirat walked into the lounge.

"We are, although we'd leave early morning seeing as Lyana has an exam tomorrow". Rania replied with a wide grin on her face.

"That is amazing. Although, I'm surprised Raees is allowing the two of you to go stay somewhere else!" Hoor laughed.

The man was super over protective about the two and seldom let them out of his sight.

Lyana laughed along with the ladies. Stepping out of the room to find her sister, the bride - Mirat who had summoned her. The two enjoyed a deep bond, they had spent a large part of their childhood marrying their dolls off to each other, tearing down the doll houses and kitchen sets together in their rampage.

"You summoned me your highness?" She walked into her bedroom.

Jumping on top of her bed, Lyana stared at Mirat who seemed to be engrossed in the screen of her phone, scrolling through it in search of something.

"Tomorrow you guys are going to Ali's place to put haldi on him right? Give him this from me!" She extended a velvet pouch.

Lyana nodded her head, a plan conjuring inside her head. She had not even seen Mirat purchase whatever the contents were inside the bag, despite accompanying her on all the shopping trips - this of course called for a hefty bribe.

"Yeh jo bateesi nikal rahi hai na. Paas hi rakho kuch nahi milna!" [This large thirty-two teeth smile of yours. Keep it to yourself, you aren't getting anything!] Mirat pulled her cheeks.

Lyana groaned in pain pushing her hands aside.
"You always do this!" Lyana moaned in pain.

Mirat let out a huge roaring laughter, one that was uncharacteristic of her. The elder woman, kissed Lyana's cheek in apology. Squeezing the life out of the woman, as she groaned in her steely strength. Mirat patted her back, whispering in her ear an inappropriate joke that had her cheeks turn red like the apple from Snow White.
