آٹھارواں باب — Chapter 18
THE QUEEN ARRIVES AT HER KINGDOM

RETURNING FROM THE HENNA CEREMONY, LYANA RUSHED INTO THE SHOWER. Getting rid of all the sweat and dirt on her body, she finally sighed in relief. The heavy dress had been digging into the flesh right under her ribcage and now a bright red mark was left in its place, a reminder of the sweet evening. She hummed, moving on the balls of her feet as her fingers lathered the sore area in some anti inflammatory topical cream. Wearing the oversized crew neck, with dark woolen leggings Lyana walked into her bedroom.

The white lights in her room were dimmed as she turned her phone off. Tonight, she just wanted to focus on herself. Tomorrow was perhaps the most important day of her life and Lyana could not get rid of the thick emotions that chocked her throat. She tossed and turned under the heavy sheets, her eyes open wide as sleep seemed to have run some where far far away.

Alamgeer's words and his heated gaze on her, haunted Lyana. The reminder of the painful, yet sweet ache he left inside her body, kept her body from cooling. Thoughts of the night to come attacked her. Her eyes closed and all she could see in the deep darkness were images of her and Alamgeer entangled in a hot and passionate manner. His thick arms stroking her body with love and care. Lyana opened her eyes. Taking deep breaths, her hands resting on her heated cheeks. Pouring herself a glass of water from the large jug, she gulped it in one go. Tiptoeing across the corridor to her parent's bedroom. Perhaps it was time again for a sleepover with her parents.

Stepping towards their door, Lyana gave light knocks. They seemed more like gentle taps. Soft taps echoing through the silent room. Luckily for her, Raees and Rania were still up. In the dim lights of their nightstand lamps, they were looking at childhood pictures of Lyana in utter silence.

"Lyana?" Raees unlocked the door.
Lyana nodded her head, launching herself straight into his embrace. Raees looked at her a bit worried, his arms going around her body, rubbing soft circles into her back. He closed the door from the tip of his foot, leading her to their bed.

"Lyana you okay?" Rania reached out for her.
Lyana nodded her head, hiding herself in her mother's bosom as she inhaled her warm chocolate smell. Rania stroked Lyana's hair softly. Passing a soft smile to Raees who took a seat next to Lyana. Wounding his arm around his wife and daughter. He kissed Lyana's hair, his hand resting on her back as he sighed.

"Lya is everything okay?" Raees inquired.
His deep, soft voice vibrated into the bedroom, decorating the air with his baritone.
"I'm fine. I guess a tad bit overwhelmed?" Lyana shrugged.
Her actions missing the usual confidence they carried in them.
"Why my dear?" Rania looked at her.
Lyana softly sighed. Taking a place on the soft mattress on her parent's bed before she proceeded. Lyana explained to them in deep breaths and between a plethora of pauses. About her emotions when it came to the moving out tomorrow. It caused her heart to ache, the thought of leaving them alone was unpleasant to say the least.

"Lyana ap kyun sochti hain aisay? Apkay ammi abu akelay nahi hon gai. Hum dono hain eik dusray keh pass. Waisay bhi ap keh abu nai eik CEO hire kar liya hai takay woh ziada tar time meray saath ghar par hi hon gai. Beta kal ap ki zindagi ka eik khoobsurat din hai usko khushi sai shuru karo. Inn choti choti cheezon ki tension mat liya karo," [Lyana why do you think like that? Your mother and father will not be alone. The two of us have each other. Plus your father has hired a CEO so that he can spend most of his time at home with me. Darling tomorrow is your life's most beautiful day, start it with happiness. Don't stress yourself about these small things,] Rania tsked.
Raees nodded his head, agreeing with Rania.

"Lyana you will always be our daughter. And you need to understand that we are proud of who you are as a person. You're a young ambitious woman. Don't worry about us. We aren't that old, that we need you to look after us. And now that you're finally off of our hands, your mother and I can finally get to that world tour we've planned," he pinched her nose.
Lyana softly whined, but passed her parents a small smile. They surely knew how to get her to feel good again.
