Welcome! First of all, thanks for checking out my little project!

I say little ironically. This is a huge undertaking, and it's the first time I've ever drawn a comic. But, here we go!

Before we get started I think it's worth saying one more time: this is a MANGA, not a novel. It reads left to right because my brain prefers to work that way, but standard Japanese mangas read the other way around.

This is my long-anticipated brainchild, a comic/manga adaptation of the Nintendo game Super Paper Mario. While I do take creative liberties, I strive to keep the story and characters close to the source material, creating an experience that is satisfying for fans and more extensive than the already-existing Super Mario Kun adaption.

I originally started brainstorming ideas for a Super Paper Mario comic a long time ago, but I didn't feel that I had enough drawing skills to attempt it until recently. All of it is hand-done by me, @NintendoJedi . It is, unfortunately, in black and white, but many mangas are.

For the art style I attempted something mostly in line with the standard representation of Mario and friends in-universe, but with a slightly anime spin to it. It may not look much like a manga given my personal drawing style, but I was trying above all to keep the characters close to their in game appearances because I felt that was most important. I hope you enjoy it!

Without further ado, let's get to today's story...
