Brute Force ]|[ Paul Atreides

his mother was running around like a headless chicken. she was so focused on everything being perfect for their guests arrival. 

one of the high leaders of the Bene Gesserit was visiting. his mother was a member of this prestigious 'club'. Paul didn't know much about it other than that his mother believed in it, and his father feared it.

they stood outside on the platform. him, his mother, his father and a few others stood high. the ground below them was surrounded by troops, all in their uniforms. 

the large ship started to land. particles  of dust flew everywhere. once the ship hit the ground, all the lights turned off. 

a door opened.

out came a man in uniform he must have been at least 6.5, probably more. he was so tall.

behind him came a shorter woman with  a vail covering her face.

Pauls mother Jessica suddenly stood up straighter when she came out. Paul knew that she was the one her mother told him stories about.

how she could make children cry just by looking at them. never mind children, she could make the toughest man in the universe cry.

but why was she here?

neither his mother or his father knew. they had just received a letter saying when they were going to arrive and to be prepared. 

"welcome highly respected guests,"

"I don't want your greetings. is this the boy?" she pointed at Paul.

"yes he is my son."

"is he Jessica's son?"

"yes he is."

"you are a disgrace to our name, Jessica how dare you have a son. you know down right well that you were supposed to have a daughter."

Paul felt taken aback.

"does he have our gifts?"

"yes."

"what gifts does he have?"

"he ca...se...vo..ce.." she mumbled.

"Jessica speak up now."

"he can use the voice, my lady."

"very well. I will test him in the next few days."

his mother sighed. she knew that this didn't mean well.

"I have come here to fix the mess you have created Jessica," she stated referring to Paul as the 'mistake', "I have decided to take matters into my own hands, me and the emperor have decided to find the young Atreides a suitable concubine."

Paul looked up at his mother confused, but she just continued staring at the floor. he looked to his father. who was just focusing on what the woman said. not moving unless he was nodding his head. his mother on the other hand was shaking.

"may I present to you Onyxanya Flaire." she pointed to a girl stood behind her.

the girl who was just staring at the floor was now looking up. fear glazed her eyes. she looked like she had just been told she was going to be fed to a lion. 

she was scared at what this meant.

he looked at the girl just as she looked up at him. they made eye contact for a few seconds and then looked away. her looking at the floor and him at the sky. 

"she will be good to your son and will have his daughter. the daughter Jessica owes me. do you accept the Bene Gesserit and emperors decision."

he looked to his father silently pleading with his eyes that he would decline.

"if it is the emperor and the bene Gesserit's wishes then I and my son, will accept."

the girl was immediately handcuffed and chained. she struggled for a few seconds but soon realised it was no use. 

she had her hands tied behind her back, and a gold chain around her neck. she was pushed down onto he knees in front of Paul. 

as she looked up at him, he saw the tears she was holding back. why was this happening to him, to her?

"young Atreides do you accept her?"

he wanted to say no.

 he wanted to say no so badly. 

but he looked at his mothers face. she was scared. what would they do to her if he said no?

he looked at his father. the was nodding his head telling him to say yes. what would the emperor think of his father if he raised a defiant son?

 then he looked at the girl she was  staring at the ground. shaking. what would they  do to her if he said no?

"y..y..yes." he finally got out.

"good young Atreides." the girl was pulled up from the floor. the chain around her neck chocking her as she was yanked into a standing position. 

a scroll was handed to the duke and paul was rushed inside by his mother.

she pulled him into a room and sighed.
