Delilah woke up to the repetitive  beeping of her phone's alarm. Ugh... five more minutes, she thought to herself. After all, she'll have a long day at work. She stopped. It was the weekend so she didn't have any work. But she did have somewhere important to go to.

Delilah waited for the water to get hotter as it spurted down the shower head. She stepped in, feeling the warm water stream down her back. After shampooing her hair, she picked up her loofah and body wash and began to scrub herself clean. She let out a long, drawn out sigh and got out of the shower, drying herself on the way.

She stood before her closet in her pink underwear, deciding on what she should wear. She picked out a floral dress and her pink cardigan and put them on. She looked at herself in the mirror and straightened out her dress. Does this make my butt look big? She asked herself, and blushed red with embarrassment.

Delilah grabbed her purse hanging from one of the hooks behind her door. Wallet? Check. Keys? Check. Phone? She stopped for a moment before remembering that her phone was on her nightstand. She quickly got it and headed out, but not before dabbing a bit of lip gloss on her lips.

When she arrived at her lobby, she found that he was already there. Which took her by surprise because she was always the one who was early. Jacob gave an eager wave. "Hi Delilah!" He chirped.

"H-hi Jacob," she managed a small smile.

"Before we go to the library, I'd like to take you somewhere first. I hope you don't mind, you didn't eat breakfast yet, did you?"

Come to think of it, she didn't even remember eating breakfast. "O-oh, have you eaten breakfast already ? I'm so sorry!" Her ears burned and she felt her heart drop. She was so caught up in the upcoming events of the day that she missed something as important as breakfast. Now she looked like a fool for sure.

"Actually, I was hoping you didn't eat breakfast cause I was gonna take you somewhere to eat," Jacob chuckled, scratching the back of his head nervously.

"R-really?" A wave of relief washed over Delilah. "Where?"

"Let's get on the bus first, I'll show you!"

Honey Bea's Bakery was what the sign read as they stood outside of the building. The warm smell of coffee and pastries lingered, inviting them temptingly.

"Jakey!" A holler from the counter made Delilah jolt up in surprise. She locked eyes with a young woman with auburn hair and large amber eyes.

"Oh hi Amelia!"

"Who's that with you?"

"Oh this is Delilah. She's new-"

The lady at the counter's face became serious. "She's not your girlfriend is she?" She said, her eyes wide.

Jacob blushed, "I- I'm just showing her to the library and thought she'd like to have a quick coffee and muffins!"

"Oh good," the lady sighed in relief.

Jacob shifted in his place, "um, can we have two cappuccinos and some muffins? What would you like, Delilah?"

"Uhh... I think I'll have the double chocolate one please."

"And I'll have a cinnamon apple."

"Anything for you, Jakey!" She beamed, going back to her cheerful, bubbly self.

When they got their coffees and muffins they went to sit in the far end of the cafe by the window. When Delilah sat down she looked to the counter and found the girl staring at them, then turning to the kitchen.
