A flock of crows cried while flapping their wings at the gust of the winds as the moon's ray shone brightly. The night was deep, the rays of the bright orb shined perfectly across the dim room, and the owls hooted while turning their heads. A secluded place amidst the woods, a human dared to hold an auction. Was it an antique? Valuable things? Jewelleries? Diamonds? No, not even close.

Humans are evil creatures and they always have their wicked ways to do cruel things. Dominique Odette has seen it. Witnessed by her crimson orbs that turns white during a full moon that triggers her insanity.

"Going once! Going twice! Sold for 1.5 million! Dr. Ling, you may now claim this half-human, and half-siren!"

The young lass growled against her breath as she gripped tightly at the cage she's right in. She covered her ears while hearing the human's piercing voice and laughter.

'Dang it. No way.'

She can hear Kiranna's loud cries as she was taken away and pulled by that hideous aquarium where she's trapped. Her heart pounded in rage for feeling useless. Dominique's sight roamed around the area and fought such illuminating light from the stage.

A half-human, and half-siren. The lass' head throbbed when flashbacks of their encounters with Kiranna started to spin in her mind. Her past was cruel as she was sent to the circus and humans would torture her. She closed her eyes and bit her lip forcefully, and thought about the cycle her dear friend will face again. Kiranna has escaped, and Dominique doesn't want her to suffer again. But what can she do? Looking at her state, such a useless and pitiful being.

"And what a lovely lass we have here! If it isn't a faerie!"

Fuck.

'It's Elaine... They would never.'

Dominique held back her tears while looking at everyone in their cages, trapped helplessly. Men in suit, pirates, and other disgusting mere mortals whistling while demanding for higher bids in this auction. Creatures like Dominique that humans wished to possess to make them as their slave, or perhaps sell them in the black market.

The loud cheers and laughters rang in her ear. This filthy place was jam-packed by appalling humans. Screeching noise and blinding lights were being displayed that triggers most of her friends. She raised her brows when it hit to her that pirates are here. She recognized them. Those fuckers are robbers and thieves. Auctions does not fancy them, instead they steal. That's the pleasure of pirates but why on earth would they even attend such event?

Some of her companions moaned inside the cage, crying their heart out as Elaine was being held as hostage for this auction.

"And as what the legend says! The faerie's wings can grant three wishes! Just pluck them up! Slash it, tore them apart, and three wishes are coming in your way, aye! Now bid my brothers!"

"100 million- a double! And-"

Dominique's heart couldn't just bear it while helplessly watching Elaine crying with pure anguish. Elaine is a precious friend, especially to Dominique's brother, Domino, it'll kill him once he'll found out about their situation.

"Going once! Going twice! Is anyone going to- this is insane! This faerie is sold for 2.9 billion for Mr. Scott! Claim your prize as-"

Void. They saw nothing. The power must've been gone. In a snap, the lights disappeared and everything turned dim, like an endless pit. They can hear their footsteps circling around in panic as loud complaints of humans and the mythical creature's captors screeched at the whole area.

Dominique didn't waste her time as she squiggled and forced her wrist to set free from the rope. Her body flinched when a loud crashing sound pushed her cage harshly, making it bump into the other cages, she groaned in pain while trying to get up, her body lying on the floor.

"Hold still."

She gasped upon hearing the familiarity and coldness in his voice. A sharp and cold blade passed through the middle part of the rope in her wrist. As soon as she was set free, the cage opened and what lies outside revealed a young man dressed in a costume of pirate.

"I apologize for being late. I need to blend in with the pirates- Better late than never, aye?"

Dominique gritted her teeth while realizing their current situation. She sighs. "Shut up, Castle. You sounded exactly like one."

"Let's get back to work then, shall we? You still need to explain this mess, milady."

The two of them nodded at each other while feeling the connection as they ran in the darkness, while saving their friends...
