This scene contains the song "Dig a Little Deeper" from the Walt Disney animated film "The Princess and the Frog" (2009). Jessie, James and Meowth, transformed into Mewtwo due to an unfortunate accident, are led by their new friend Wobbuffet to the old swamp hut of the voodoo master, in the heart of the forest where they have just camped.
Shortly before dawn could brighten the sky over the city, our Team Rocket trio was already on their feet, together with their funny companion in the blue shade, to reach the house of the wise master in the forest. The moon could still be glimpsed as a small bulwark on the horizon, while most of the stars had already been veiled by the atmosphere in the early morning: only she, the wonderful Evening Star, still shone imperturbably and proud on the firmament.
They walked quickly, so as not to be seen by the inhabitants of the city that was awakening, while silence prevailed over their conversations. In fact, everyone was thinking for themselves very intensely, especially the two ex-human members of the team, who were unwittingly mulling over the events of the previous evening.
It's weird, way too weird, James pondered. Last night I felt so... different... I had never experienced that particular sensation that I felt born in me with such spontaneity. And it all seems to have started with Meowth and Wobbuffet's song dedicated to that incredible star...
He looked up to see, in the midst of the branches of the trees, the marvelous celestial body burning above their heads. It seemed almost brighter than the sun itself, which in the meantime was preparing to rise behind the mountains. I was almost a completely different person: I had never been so resolute and impulsive in my entire life, the young man continued to think, lowering his gaze to observe his fellow adventurers. Meowth and Wobbuffet were a few meters ahead, leading the group, while Jessie followed them from behind and James was the last in the messy line that had formed.
Jessica... The full name of his impetuous and determined friend slipped through his thoughts, and it seemed to rekindle that particular unknown emotion in his soul, which seemed to start from his chest to hammer his cerebellum, at the bottom of his neck. Taken by surprise by his own involuntary reaction, he tried to understand what was happening to him, as his mind clouded with increasingly confused and misunderstood thoughts and his legs gave signs of staggering. He would probably have soon attracted the attention of his teammates with his completely sudden and bizarre behavior, when Wobbuffet's chanting and good-natured voice broke the silence: "Wooobbuffet, wob wobba!" [We have arrived, here is the sage's hut!]
The place seemed quite common, for being the refuge of a great master: it was located in a small swamp full of trees and vines, in the center of which stood a humble shack well camouflaged with the rest of the environment, built with wood and various foliage with a stagnant smell.
"It's not really the best for an elegant woman like me, but considering the situation we're in, let's skip the unnecessary details and go straight inside," Jessie said confidently, putting aside her criticism and dashing into the cabin first. Her friends followed suit.
The small inn seemed abandoned and miserable on the outside, however, once they entered they had to change their minds: the refined and well-kept woodwork, the rural but tidy furniture, and the harmonious whole of that place inspired a sense of tranquility and trust.
From a curtain at the back came indistinct murmurs, as if on the other side there was a door that divided the room where our friends were now from a further wing of the house. From there, in fact, a few seconds later, a tall and slender figure emerged, wearing an ancient and mystical-looking ceremonial dress, a pair of sandals, sunglasses so dark that they couldn't see the eyes of their wearer, and a white turban wrapped around his head. He looked like a fairly young man, with a tanned skin, almost a little boy, probably just a few years younger than Jessie and James.
