This scene contains the songs "Kingdom Dance" and "I See the Light", from the Walt Disney animated film "Tangled" (2010). Jessie, James and Meowth continue their journey, after a not very fortunate meeting and a terrible danger narrowly escaped. The two humans of the group begin to approach and reveal little secrets about their lives, while their friendship solidifies more and more. Will the new city to explore make something blossom between the two...?
The night had not been just of good sleep. Before going to bed, the two young adults were still awake to talk: Jessie let James tell her his story, from his family situation to the daring escape from home, to his choice of joining Team Rocket.
She tried to do the same, referring the fragments of memories she remembered: "My mother had left me in that orphanage long before her disappearance. Sometimes she would come back to visit me, but she didn't stay more than a few days: she had to leave immediately to go who knows where, but at first, life seemed quite easy for me there. Ah, I remember that on the snowiest days we could afford to eat the snowgasboard, the best meal of the day, with all kinds of delicacies: snow loaf with soy sauce, sushi snow rolls, snow potatoes with snow sour cream... At the time, I hoped they wouldn't punish me for enjoying such luxury..."
Jessie went on telling how the orphanage had then fallen into disrepair, a few years after she received the news of her mother's disappearance; the young woman had remained there to live even after its closure and complete abandonment, and in the meantime, life had become increasingly difficult: she had tried to find a job as soon as possible, trying in vain to become a nurse and scoring as many failures in many other careers; in recent years, she had also had several boyfriends, but each relationship had turned out to be short and humiliating, since everyone had sooner or later abandoned or mistreated her.
So she found herself alone, never allowing herself to trust the outside world again.
One way or another, however, thanks to something that seemed more than a coincidence, they had met, two people with completely opposite histories, and all three (Meowth had confided in them later, too) had become friends and discovered that they shared the very same desire: freedom.
The past still had its scars, for everyone, some of which perhaps would never completely fade: but they knew that, once their mistrust was overcome, now that they were together, nothing and no one could ever divide them.

The next morning, the trio realized that they had crashed in a place not entirely deserted: they had camped on an isolated hill not far from a citadel, also located above and around a peak, where it seemed they were celebrating a great Summer Festival.
["Kingdom Dance" starts here]
Food stalls and carnival-style games had been placed everywhere, and the beach was set up with small bonfires and paper lanterns that would be lit at nightfall. Loitering the streets with the usual foresight, Jessie, James and Meowth decided to take a tour of that beautiful place as well.
Jessie had accepted James' offer from the other night, and both were temporarily wearing the white Team Rocket uniforms with pieces of embellishments on top, to mask only the R: they no longer felt like disguising themselves completely, they wanted to express their newly-discovered creative clothing vein, and despite the seasonal heat and long-sleeved uniforms, they didn't complain about it.
James had also managed to persuade his partner to leave her long hair down in its characteristic shape, ignoring the looks of strangers. Seeing her now so light-hearted and happy, knowing that she felt freer, the young man could not stop smiling at her and admiring her, spellbound, earning several connoisseur glances from the crafty Meowth.
