"My parents are here."

Chaeyoung saw the nervous look present on her girlfriend's face and she knew to herself she's equally nervous as her.

But the need to put Jennie's feelings first took over immensely on her system.

When their eyes met, she sent her an assuring smile and it made the brunette baffled.

'How can she be so calm?' Jennie asked herself mentally.

Kai never met her parents. She didn't felt the need to, since she told her parents that it wasn't anything serious, that it's purely for school status purposes, and the fact that they didn't insist to meet him proved that it was an unnecessary thing to do.

But this calm looking blonde beside her is a total different story, Chaeyoung meeting her parents unprepared is making her worry to no end.

Now she's regretting not giving her a heads up about her family and how she should act before them.

Though Roseanne's reassuring smile brought a warm feeling inside her, she can't help herself to panic as negative thoughts started invading her mind.

'What if they don't like her?'

'What if they ask me to avoid her? NOOOO!'

'What if they tell her to stay away from me or break up with me? God please, noooo!'

'What if they order me to transfer schools?'

'What if they tell me I'm already bethro--'

"Stop overthinking."

"I can't.." Jennie shook her head as she massaged her temples, she turned to face her yet again and her calm demeanor brought her bewilderment, "How can you be so calm?"

Chaeyoung let out a smug grin, "That's because I'm Roseanne Park, Miss Kim."

"Uhuh, I'm well aware of that. But miss, you're also my girlfriend who's about to meet my parents. And it's normal for you to panic.. or atleast be nervous--"

Chaeyoung let out a soft laugh, "I can't."

"Why?"

"Because you're right, I'm your girlfriend and one of my duties is to assure you that everything will be alright," Chaeyoung held her left hand and gave it a gentle squish, "Baby, it's my choice not to be frantic 'cause afterall, this thing about meeting your parents is inevitable. Sooner or later, I would have to meet them and you would have to meet mine," she leaned in and kissed her forehead, pulling just inches away to stare directly in her eyes, "And yes, I admit I'm worried too.. but if I let that get the better of me.. that won't help us. And.. I can't deny that I also wanna meet them and know what they look like or what they think of me, so if there's something that they don't like about me, I know where I stand and I know what to work on." she smiled reassuringly, "If in any case they don't like me, I need you to respect their decision, because if I need to work my ass off to get their approval, then so be it," she then intertwined their hands before depositing a lingering kiss at the back of the brunette's hand.

The blonde's words made her heart well in felicity. Jennie was speechless as she stares at their joined hands with serious smile.

The brunette was perplexed when she saw a grin appeared on Chaeyoung's lips, "Why are you grinning like that?"
