The Box

I tried to follow her but she left no tracks. So I decided to head back to the main part of the glade.

Everyone was swarming up to the box, I decided I would take a bloody look. But gally was already there pulling the Greenie out of the box.

Instantly he ran, and he kept on running, I was amazed. But then he tripped over his own feet and face planted the ground, tumbling over himself a couple of times. I could help but laugh, the Greenie tripped. I felt sorry for him afterwards.

Alby decided it would be best to show the kid around, but he looked familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

I decided to head back tot he forest, and try to find that girl again what was her bloody name? Courtney. That was it Courtney.

I was just on the outline of the forest when something hard dropped on me. I collapsed to the ground, surprised out of my own Shankin' wits.

"Dont say a word shank. follow me now" her voice was soft and warm in my ear. Of course it was Courtney.

She got up from my back and ran. I jumped up and followed her.

We were running for awhile when she stopped at one of the edges of the glade. There was a house, on the edge of the glade.with the roof made of bamboo sticks, while the walls looked like it was made from the same stuff as the pit.

"I made it myself, like it?" She said, while spreading her arms, like she was going to give it a hug. I stared at her carefully.

"It's bloody beautiful." I didn't know if that was aimed at her or the house, but she was beautiful. She turned her head to face me. I felt all the blood in my body rush to my face.

"Come on then shuck, come in I'm sure you've got alot of questions." She said while opening the door to her house house, I followed her in.

The house had one light and a bed, that's all. I crossed my arms over my chest while she closed the door.

She sat down on the bed. Her elbows on her knees, even the way her body moved was amazing.

"I was in the glade before alby." She started " they put me in here because they thought you were all gonna die"

she signed.A bit of hair coming out of her ponytail "you soon began to make it your home I was no longer needed. so I hid, and stole supplies when I could. No one has seen me except you." She had finished talking.

I was bloody amazed. I didn't know what to say "are you bloody sure"
"No I came from the land of 'liar' of course I'm telling the truth!" She spat.

"But I made sure you were okay, I made sure nothing happened to you." Her eyes turned darker and she stared at the floor. Her fingers where intwined with eachother.

"Why bloody me?" I questioned. "One day you'll understand" she said "you better get back to the group, they'll miss you" she smirked.

I couldn't but help laugh back. Her laugh was bloody amazing, her whole face lit up, but I couldn't get the feeling I had seen it before.

"Wait, newt?" She said while I was just about to exit the forest. "Yeah shank" I replied with a smile on my face, I moved closer to her.

She was looking down and moved even closer. when she lifted her head there was only a couple of inches between us.Looking at her closer now, she had a couple of spots on her face.

"Meet me here tommorow, please, I like your company?" She whispered "of course I will" I replied, heat rushing back into my face.

I ran out of the forest "newt!" I heard. It was alby with the Greenie, alby was calling me over.

I stood next to alby and gave the Greenie a hand shake "name's newt greenie"
