This can’t be happening. I can’t possibly be having the babies. I don’t know where I am, I don’t have my thoughts straight. This can’t be happening. Why is Kyle acting as if everything is fine? He should be helping me.

“Kyle, where am I. And why aren’t you doing anything.” I said.

He looked down, sighed then met my eyes.

“You are in a place we vampires call, Gaven. It’s a place for us to live, and still be protected. You have everything you need here. I will call the doctors, and let them see what they can do.” He said.

Uhm, how about you call now.

“So, why aren’t you calling them now?” I asked, worried.

“Hazel, I will call them. It will be okay. Stop worrying.

“Kyle, what is wrong with you. You are not the same.” I said.

He looked at me, seeming as if he didn’t care.

“I am the same.” He said slowly.

“No, you’re not. You’re too chill.” I sighed.

He kept his eyes on me.

“I am the same. Stop telling me otherwise.” He snapped.

He has never spoken that way to me before. This can’t be the guy I fell in love with. I mean, he was being flat out rude and not thinking straight.

I buried my head in my arms and tried not to cry. This was all too much for me.

“C’mon Hazel, you’re staying in my room...” It was Veronica.

“No she isn’t.” Kyle growled.

“Can you not see her? She is in pain and is confused. Then you are acting like a complete jackask. She is staying in my room.” She argued.

“No.” he stated.

I felt someone pick me up and carry me.

“Where are you taking her?” Kyle shouted.

“Away from you.” Veronica said over her shoulder.

“When we get in my room, I’ll call the doctors. You must be in some kind of pain...” she said to me. Yeah, pain of heart break.

“Thanks...” I sighed. I don’t know what got into him. He shows no favor in me anymore.

“Hazel… I think it’s time for you to know.” She sighed, going into her room.

“Know what?” I asked.

She sighed and looked at me.

“After Kyle changed, he found a mate. He ran off with her and got married. I don’t think he wants you anymore, and was just acting.” She said quietly.

I just stared at her. No words left my mouth.

I didn’t have any emotions to show. I didn’t have any to feel.

I left my face blank; I didn’t know what to think.

“It wasn’t worth it.” Those were the only words that escaped my mouth.

“We need to call a doctor. Kyle is a jackass, his wife is a slut. Don’t even start to mourn over him. He wasn’t or isn’t worth your tears.” She tried to comfort me.

“I get him and loose him, again.” I whispered. She let out a sigh.

“Hazel, I honestly hate to be mean but, get over him. He didn’t care about you, so you shouldn’t care about him. His parents even know. They’ve met her. You will find someone better.” She stated.

Ouch.

I just nodded my head.

“Hazel. I mean it.” She said.

“Okay, geez.” I snapped. She smiled.

“Good. I’m going to call up someone and then I’m going to call mom and dad.” She said with a smile on her face.

“You seem joyful.” I said sarcastically.

“I don’t want to call the parents...” she sighed.

“Okay, then don’t.” I said rolling my eyes.

She stuck her tongue out at me.

“I will later, I guess.” She sighed. “Aren’t you in some kind of pain?” she questioned.

“Not really, now that I think about it.” I said, noticing what she meant.

“Weird... Instead of calling a doctor, I’m taking you to the hospital. Something isn’t right.” She said stressfully.

“Yes, mother.” I said. She glared at me.

“This is serious Hazel.” She said.

“Yeah, yeah.” I sighed.

She placed her hands on her hips and glared at me.

“Hazel.” She threatened.

“I’m the older one. Am I not?” I questioned.

“C’mon. You’re acting stupid already. Let’s go.” She said, pulling me along the way.

“Yes ma’am.” I replied.

“So when am I going to meet this husband of yours.” I noted.

“Whenever I say you can.” She said, still pulling me along.

“I think I should soon.”

“No. You will when I say you can.”

“Whatever you say.” I ended.

She still pulled me along. We went into an elevator and then into a lobby. This place was like a hotel.

“Be back later.” She called over her shoulder.

She took me outside and we got into her car.

“I’m making this trip quick. I don’t want any babies in my car.” She chuckled.

“Shut up.” I sighed.

I was so not ready for this. This can’t be happening. I must be dreaming.
