“Kyle you are such an idiot. I have no words to say to you! How the hell…” I trailed off, my hands in fists. I stomped around on my porch.

“Hazel, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to snap like that. It just.. It just built up in me and I’ve never felt something like that before. I just filled with so much anger. I didn’t like him thinking about you.” he sighed, leaning on the house, hands tangled in his hair.

“Kyle, it’s still not cool! Do you ever think that MAYBE, I would LOVE to have someone again. Someone that still likes me, even though I have kids. Okay, that is hard to find. While you.. ‘ I gave a quick laugh. ‘You already have that someone. You chose her. You knew that she was meant for you.”

“But Hazel, I can’t control that.-” he started.

“Kyle, what can you control.” I snapped.

He looked at me and sighed.

“Hazel. Please. Look, I know you are mad. I didn’t mean to get you pregnant, I didn’t mean to make you go through all of this. Stop being so… so hard headed about this. Hazel, we can make this work, just, you have to stop being the way you are to me.” he said. I looked at him in shock. I wasn’t being anything to him.

“I’m not being anything to you! What the hell did I do! I’m trying to raise my two kids and have a life at the same time! You aren’t doing as much as me! I have some company over, and you go off on them! Kyle, I’m not doing anything.” I shouted at him.

He looked at me wide eyed.

“How are you doing more than me?! I’m the one watching the kids at night while you get your ‘precious’ sleep. I could easily take them and not bring them back.” He threatened me.

“You wouldn’t dare.” I sneered. He cocked an eyebrow at me, a half deadly smile forming on his face.

“Who says? They are my kids.”

“You monster! Don’t take my kids!” I got up right in his face as I said this.

“Hazel, I would really hate to hurt you.” he commented. Staring me right in the eyes.

I crossed my arms and stood firm. He had to get through me first, before he even touched my kids.

“Protective mother, as I have said before.” A voice chimed in. Patrick. Oh hell.

Kyle started a low growl in his chest.

“You wouldn’t want to hurt your precious Hazel. Don’t even think about snapping at me.” He said simply. His voice was like soft smooth velvet. So calming and charming. He was gorgeous.

“…. Hazel?” Kyle said. I snapped my head back at him and glared. He held back a chuckle, I could tell.

“Did you know, I thought that I loved you. But now I know that it was just me falling for the wrong person. You didn’t even care about me. Why should I even let you near the kids?” I challenged.

“You can’t just go off and take my children away from me Hazel. My name IS on their birth certificate. They need a father.” he snapped.

“YOU NEVER SIGNED IT! IT’S STILL WAITING AT THE HOSPITAL. You have 2 more days until it’s finalized. You might be the father, but you don’t have proof. They have my last name.” I confirmed.

He looked outraged.

In a split second, I was inside on my couch and I heard the worst ear shattering noises outside.

“What just happened..” I asked, wondering how I got in here so quickly.

“Do you realize that you should be dead right now?! If it weren’t for me saving your sorry ass-” Veronica screamed in my face, but was interrupted by mom.
