Toga's POV
I packed everything I had into a bag and squeezed through the window of my room. No more fights, no more 'family'. I wandered the street until I found a forest. It would have to serve as a good enough place to stay. I stumbled deeper and deeper into the forest until I was certain absolutely no one could find me. I looked around the space I had found and placed my bag on the ground. The only bed-type thing I had was a blanket that was only just big enough to fit my body under it if I curled up.
A few days later
I kept wandering deeper and deeper into the forest. The first spot I stayed in was fine and it was very likely no one would find me but I still didn't feel safe no matter how far I wandered. My neck had been burning in pain for 4 days roughly and I couldn't speak at this point. I was living off of small snacks I managed to pack and bottled water. Today I wandered into a place with a weird smell. It didn't smell as natural as the rest of the forest had. It smelled like a small city. Maybe no one there knew who I was. Maybe this could be my refuge. I picked up my pace and soon found multiple redish-brown buildings that were all identical. The sun had only just come up so there was a fair chance no one was awake. I walked to the nearest building and stared through the giant windows. I didn't see anyone inside so I grabbed a knife out of my bag and jammed it into the wall with all of my remaining strength. It was stuck so I used it to climb up next to the glass. I grabbed the only other knife I had and stuck it in the wall as I had the other. I held it tight and began kicking at the window. It wasn't going to break until I used all of my strength. I moved back as far as I could as threw my body against the glass. It shattered into hundreds of pieces. I winced in pain as multiple shards pierced my skin and I rolled onto my neck. I sat up and stood as best I could. I heard muffled but still loud footsteps charge in my direction. My whole body was burning with pain and I hadn't eaten enough in days. The last thing I saw before passing out was a brown haired figure stop at the end of a hallway in front of me.
