"You have to be brave."
"Momma, I can't do it!"
"Yes you can. You're not my little Toshi anymore. You're my strong, mighty Toshi now."
"But Momma-"
"No more 'buts.' You're going. Tonight."

"My name is Mr. Aizawa. I will be your homeroom teacher this year." There he stood. The man I was looking for. I fought like hell in the entrance exams to make sure I not only got in, but would be placed in class 1A. It took three months of research, but I managed to find out which class he taught.
"When you find him, don't say anything. Let him figure it out himself. Even if it takes years, you must never tell him."
I had to act just like her, so maybe he would remember.
"When do we start fighting villains?" one kid shouted.
"We're not fighting any villains you idiot," another answered.
"Last years Class 1A fought villains."
"Last year's Class 1A was attacked. Multiple times. During these attacks, many of them were severely injured. They were forced to fight with little training and were always in danger. Is that something you wish to experience?" The kid blushed.
"Oh. N-no, sir."
"Good. Because UA will not allow that to happen again." Damn. He was just as she said he was.

"Oh. My. Goodness." I wish she would shut up so I could take my lunchtime nap. "Midoriya is sooo hot." Oh no. Not boys.
"Yeah, I guess."
"You guess?" I looked up at the area of the cafeteria where last year's Class 1A was sitting. I knew their names, but not their faces. I had no idea which one was Midoriya. But, who was that?
"Helloooo. Earth to Toshi?"
"Don't call me Toshi," I said without even thinking.
"Um, ok? Well, what are you thinking about?"
"Um, nothing." Seriously, who the crap is that?
"Wow. Bakugo really is as intense as everyone says." Bakugo. Was that who it was? He did seem pretty intense. But the word I would use would have been mysterious. He seemed so quiet, barely engaging in the conversation at the table.
I tried my best to ignore the boy talk at our table as I watched him. He lifted one corner of his mouth slightly at something one of the boys sitting next to him. They seemed closer than some of the others. After a few more nudges, he even began to laugh.
"Toshinowa! The bell rang."
"Oh. Sorry. Just, lost in thought I guess."
"Um. Sure. Let's get back to class." Shit. They definitely think I'm nuts.

"Bro, first years are weird." I looked over my shoulder to see a tall girl with a dark hair pulled into a high ponytail, a strip of hair hanging over her forehead.
"O. M. G!" one of my classmates gushed next to me. "It's Momo Yaoyorozu!" I remembered that name. She was one of last year's Class 1A students. It was nice to finally put a face to at least one of them.
When we entered the classroom, everyone was gathered around a desk. I bashful-looking girl was sitting in the middle. She looked extremely uncomfortable. I pushed my way through the crowd and leaned over her desk.
"Hi. My name's Toshinowa Itzuki. But you can call me 'Ki.'" Many murmurs went through the crowd. It was obvious that everyone was surprised I was talking to the girl. We'd barely been here half a day, but the impression I had passed was that of a loner.
"H-hi. My name's Shokya." Hm, no second name. "I got here late. My flight didn't get in until this morning."
"Your flight?"
"I'm from America. My family moved there when I was four."
"Wow, me too! My mom moved there when she was pregnant with me. I flew here a few weeks ago."
"Ok, class." He had entered the classroom. I sat down next to Shokya and continued to watch him.
Yes. He really was everything she said he would be.
