I stared at my phone. The school bought it for me when I moved in so I'd be able to communicate in the event of an emergency. At least, that's what Principal Nezu said. But Midnight told me he bought it for me himself because every teenager had one, so it seemed fitting.

Todoroki

Hey

Hey?

It's Itzuki. Just wanted to make sure you'd know who was texting you if I needed you

Oh. Gotcha

Damn. He's so simple.

Ugh. My alarm was so annoying, but it was the only thing that would wake me up. I opened the curtains to see the only reason I woke up that early. The sunrise. I never got to see it when I was younger. I always started training before the sunrise and trained well passed dark. I marveled at how the colors shone through the glass of the window. Every area had a different shade. Even the farthest corners were beautiful.

Wait. There was something on the bottom corner closest to my bed. It was backwards, scratched into the glass from the outside. I walked out onto the balcony, looking around. The security detail was still posted outside. I had to sit on the ground in order to see whatever was in the glass.

To. You can't hide forev-

My chest tightened. I wanted to scream, but I couldn't catch my breath. They knew I was here. Did they know she helped me out? What were they doing to her if they did. What if they knew about-

"Miss Itzuki?" It was one of the guards with a quirk that allowed him to float. I fought to point to the message in the glass. As soon as he read it, he sent the message out to school staff. Before I knew it, Mr. Aizawa was there.''

"So this is what it was. I'm sorry I didn't catch it before."

"H-he knows. It doesn't matter where I go. I'll never be safe from him." I couldn't stop the tears from flowing. Suddenly, I felt an arm around me.

"Itzuki, you're safe. No matter what, I'll protect you. He'll never hurt you again." So the school really did know about everything.

"We should move her to the teacher dorm so we may keep a closer eye on her." When did Principal Nezu get here? "It's not much, but it will be easier to get to her if there is another incident."

"That's a good idea. We should assign her a guard, too."

"No, that will raise suspicion with the students and cause unrest. I'll have all the teachers and staff on high alert. If anyone asks, we found water damage in this room and the only open room was in the teacher dorm."

"Everything will be ok, Itzuki. While you're in class, we'll have your things moved." Oh no. If they find that picture, it will all be over. "For now, we'll let you get ready for class. Is that alright." I'd calmed down quite a bit, so I nodded.

When everyone had left the room, I grabbed my small sketchbook and set it in my backpack. That's where it would stay, that way I wouldn't risk the teachers seeing it.

"What was with all the ruckus in your room this morning." Shokya seemed worried. Class was busy this morning, so lunch was the first chance we had to talk all day. Her mind must have went through every worst-case scenario.

"Oh, just some water damage. I have to switch rooms until it can be repaired, but the only available room is in the teachers' dorm."

"Oh. That's going to be awkward." I looked across the table, catching Todoroki's eyes again. I could tell he knew I was lying. I shook my head just enough that he would be the only one who could tell, hoping he would get the message. I received a slight nod back.

Shokya was right. Staying in the teachers' dorm was awkward. But I was finally in my own room. It took me hours to fall asleep. But when I finally did, it was even worse than being awake.

"You pathetic little girl. Look what you made me do." Blood dripped from the knife, splatting onto the ground.

"Why are you doing this?" Tears slid down my cheeks, mixing with the blood.

"Because of you! And your no-good bitch of a mother!" He hit me again.

"Stop!" She came out of nowhere, charging at him at full speed. All he had to do was turn to her. Then, she would see his face and copy his quirk.

"You think I'm stupid enough to fall for that again?" Someone came out of nowhere and stabbed her, twisting the knife deeper as she hit the ground. I couldn't stop the hysterical screams.

"No! Mom!"

"Itzuki!" I felt hands holding my wrists to my chest so I couldn't fight whoever was holding me down. I was flailing so frantically that my hair covered my eyes. I panicked, sending my silks out at full force. I heard a thud as whoever it was hit the ground. I threw myself up into a crouch, my hair falling out of my eyes. "It's ok! It's just me. You had a bad dream, that's all."

"Mr. Aizawa. I'm so sorry. I couldn't see it was you."

"It's alright. You were scared." He got off the floor and sat on the edge of the bed. He looked so different from in class. He wasn't wearing his scarves, and his hair was tied back. "What was your dream about?" I sat down, dropping my defense stance, and stared out the window.

"I'm sure you could guess."

"Repercussions for escaping?" I nodded. "Well whatever happened in your dream is just that. A dream. He won't get to you here. We can be sure of that."

"I believe you. But I'm still scared. What if they target other students to get to me?"

"We've tightened security. No one's getting in here." I nodded. "Now, get some sleep." I crawled under the covers and managed to fall back asleep.
