The summer was getting closer and with each passing day, everything got brighter and prettier. The trees were green and it was no longer cold outside, maybe only some mornings.

I was walking with Ruby and Hannah. We were on our way to meet up with Shelia. It was Friday and we were about to celebrate our exam results. All four of us had gotten good points. I saw Shelia on the end of the street I was walking and overwhelming happiness rushed down my body. It took everything in me to not start running towards her but my pace did speed up.

"Hey, slow down, Bolt," said Hannah and they started laughing with Ruby.

I tried to pout about their comment but the huge grin on my face refused to leave. There were still meters separating us from Shelia so I speed up even more to almost light running and hugged my girlfriend. Shelia laughed, picked me up and did a spin with me. She then put me down and kissed my lips, looking into my eyes. Her eye corners were wrinkled and I could feel her smile in our kiss. Honestly, if she wouldn't have been holding me, I would have felled to my knees there.

"Hi, honey," she said after our kiss.

All I could do was smile like an idiot. I had to kiss her one more time before I could say a weak hi back. Shelia put me down but didn't let go of my hand. I intertwined our fingers and finally looked back to our friends.

Ruby was smiling and gently shook her head at us. Hannah was staring at us and then frowned. "Fuck. I'm so single."

We all started laughing and started walking again to go to a shop. We decided to go to a park and have a picnic. When we arrived at the park we chose a spot where to put our blanket and then took out our food and drinks. We were all quite hungry so we started eating right away.

When we finished eating, Shelia straightened herself and looked at me. I smiled and nodded.

"So guys..." Shelia started.

Hannah and Ruby looked at her. I felt bubbly and moved closer to Shelia.

"We have some news for you," I continued.

I looked at Shelia one more time and we shared a smile.

"Cornelia and I wanted to go to the same university and today after receiving our exam's results, we both got accepted," Shelia said.

I looked at her grinning. "I promise, I will be glued to you," I said, hugging her right arm.

To our surprise, neither of them looked happy.

"What's the matter?" I asked worryingly.

Ruby's face lit up. "Oh, sorry. Of course, I'm happy it's just sad that we won't be close to each other anymore."

Hannah face couldn't light up as much as Ruby's. "And I continue to be jealous of your relationship," Hannah said bluntly honest.

Ruby gently hit her side and I couldn't help but smile. I let go of Shelia's hand and took each of my friends' hands into one of my hands. "To be fair guys, this reaction is probably better than being blindly happy about us." Both of them smiled.

"Where are you guys trying to get into?" Shelia asked.

"University of Cornwall," said they in sync.

They then looked at each other surprised. I started laughing.

"Well, there you go. You guys will be together, we will be together with Shelia and we were gonna finish that last piece of education too." I said, genuinely being happy about the turn of events.

"I thought you wanted to go to Avalshield's?" asked Ruby.

"Yeah but Cornwall turned out to be closer and cheaper," Hannah replied.

They continued talking and I rested on Shelia's lap. It was the mix of love, friendship and knowledge that everything will turn out well. I closed my eyes and listened to our friends talking, slowly drifting into a light sleep.
