Justicar

War... There are no winners in war; it's just an unending cycle of hatred and violence. The world will not heal from all the wounds man has inflicted. The girl looked out into the open waters as the ship sailed through the sea.

The birds flew past the sails. And unto the vast ocean

Raise the sails! The crewmen shouted as they started working around the boat. Thousands of ships sailed through the sea as they all embarked towards their destination.

The crew raised the sails of the other ship, its sails containing the isignia of the lion.

The sun was rising as it slowly surrounded the ocean water with its warm light. The girl went down and examined the soldiers rallying on the deck.

All of them were wearing their armor bearing the image of the great Liocrenus empire. All of them are readying themselves as they shout their warcry.

War is the product of hatred, envy, as well as pride. The girl said to herself as she looked at the soldiers being rallied to fight for the war they never intended. But to protect those they care about, she looked at the horizon and contemplated what awaited them beyond the port.

Lydia! The Captain shouted. The girl quickly ran up towards the person who called her out. The man was dressed in golden armor and had a scar on his left eye. Lydia lowered her head as she addressed her as the captain of the 3rd Regiment.

I thought you despised war. Are you sure about accepting this? He asked.

The girl, Lydia, turned her back and looked at the warriors below. "We cant escape the shackles of war not unless it ends, war will always find its way to us" She said in a somber tone.

The war will be over soon. I believe it will. Peace will one day be restored to these lands. "The man said as he continued steering the boat."

The sea breeze gently blew over, giving this cold feeling towards the two as the boat continued sailing west of Terra.

The War of Terra is the war that has broken off from the western empire, with Fathmuth's aim of taking over the world. The world was thrown into shambles as the flames of war continued to flicker. All countries have closed their borders, and thousands of people have died as battles rage across Terra.

The western empire contains the largest empire of the warmongering emperor of Fathmuth. And the sun god, who aims for power in the kingdom of sands,

The kingdom of lions stands with its allies. We fight for the cause of freedom, to unite the world and bring about peace within Terra once again.

Our journey would lead us to attack the kingdom of Alhajirah, the capital of the Kingdom of Sands. Our journey would lead us below the western continent, where we would press our attack from the mountains, where they would be vulnerable.

The journey will take us about two days to reach the lower borders of the kingdom of the sands.

Lydia said as she placed the map across the table as the captains of the other regiments listened to her. The plan to attack the king of the sun and end his greed is drawing near. With the plan laid out, the captains readied their men for the upcoming battle against the western empire. The people had started preparing in accordance with the plan of infiltration and attack with the hopes of finally defeating the empire of Alhajirah.

The fleet continued sailing west until night time finally arrived. The water was still and the darkness slowly took over. Though it had been silent, the knights continued to keep a closer watch on their surroundings as they pressed on their journey.

The moonlight touches the water as the flames of torches light up the night, as well as lanterns on the ships, as the coldness of the night takes over. Lydia was sitting near the bowsprit of their ship as she listened to the sound of the crashing waves of the ocean body.

She opened the compass in her hand as she fiddled around with it. She looked up to see the skies as she felt the freezing temperature. The coldness of the night comes along with the sea breeze.

She stood up with both her arms wrapped tight around her body. She then started walking back towards the captain's cabin. But she was stopped halfway through when she heard that one of the knights was alarmed about something ahead of them.

On the other side of the water, there was a speck of light. Lydia quickly moved towards the observation deck, and there she grabbed hold of the spyglass to look at the light ahead of them. Although the darkness was thick, the spyglass was able to see what was beyond. She dropped the spyglass. She was shocked by what she had seen. She quickly raised her staff and fired a ball of fire towards the sky.

The flames dispersed into the sky and slowly withered away as soon as they fell down. This alarmed all the soldiers in the fleet, and the signal bell started alarming. Just as the soldiers rang the signal bell from the distance, a loud explosion echoed, and in a brief moment, the ship near Lydia's exploded into bits. Debris from the nearby boat flew near Lydia. Her ears were ringing as the water fell down on her skin. She looked ahead to see a number of ships coming from the enemy side. The enemies ambushed them as they were lighting up their ships, which were numerous.

Enemy attack! Cannons fired left and right as a naval battle sparked in the night. Explosions were left and right as the fight between the two factions grew fiercer.

The enemy boats came closer as they ransacked the allied boats by boarding them and killing every man inside. A large hook struck the base of the boat as an enemy ship draws near.

Everyone, prepare for combat! Lydia shouted. She quickly swung her staff around and a magic circle appeared.  The enemy boat came closer and then enemy soldiers jumped off inside the ship, drawing their blade.

The knights quickly fought back using their swords and shields. The battle was fierce, but the enemy soldiers kept coming in.

Lydia channeled her energy before casting a homing spell that struck all the enemies on board.

A mage! Quick kill the mage! The enemies shouted. The newly board enemies averted their attention towards Lydia as she was a threat to the opposing side.

Get her! The enemies at the back hurled some items towards Lydia as a distraction for them to approach her.

"Time to die, mage!" said the man as he raised his sword towards her. Lydia was taken aback, with no time to react and cast a spell. She thought it would be the end of her. Suddenly, his friend, who is the captain of the 3rd regiment, jumped in with his sword and saved Lydia from being killed.

"Kayne!" She shouted his name as she was surprised. The man quickly pushed the enemy back with his skill.

Kill them all! The enemy shouted. After that, the enemy ship jumped out and a beast person jumped out. His body was all bulky and his veins were showing. Anger was all in its eyes as it locked its attention on the two. One of the soldiers charged in and attacked, but the beast man took hold of its head and crushed it into a bloody pulp.

Playtime's over, my dear friends, "said the man as he laughed. Lydia stood behind him as he remained on guard. Lydia was thinking of something. She then called out to Kayne to keep him away from her. With her strong affinity for magic, she decided to cast a powerful spell to turn back the tide.

She planted her staff on the ground as she closed her eyes. She focused her breathing and started moving her hands while magic circles started forming around.

Lydia, are you crazy? You're going to get yourself killed! Kayne shouted as he dodged a near-death attack from the beast man. He knew that there was nothing to change her mind, so he did what he was asked and kept the beast man at bay. The beast was ferocious, but Kayne kept on within his wits to predict and avoid all the attacks from the muscular creature.

The water started moving as the wind started to howl. The flames sparked over as the debris from the broken ships flew over. The war at sea continued on, and the Liocrenus fleet was being overrun by the forces of the western kingdom. Their lust for war and violence was too strong for the justice of the good men.

War is sickening. With all the shadows it casts and the shackles it holds, the gods have created this world for peace and unity. A broken world is doomed to judgment and will be cleansed of its impurity.A large magic circle appeared in the sky as it started to twirl around. Lydia, the conveyer of judgement, The sea started to rage, and the water started to crash upon the enemy ships, breaking them down.

As Lydia opened her eyes, blood started to drop out of her eyelids. She pointed her staff towards the beast creature who managed to get ahold of Kayne. The staff shot out a bright light that pierced the body of the beast, killing him off. The waves were getting unstable and the magic was starting to get out of control. Lydia dropped down as she coughed up blood. Her strength was all sapped out as she screamed in pain.

Lydia is known to be able to cast a spell of greater power as a conveyer of judgement, but it ultimately takes a hold of her body, slowly destroying it. Being chained by the burden of justicar, the bloodline of a few who are connected with the gods

The waves started to move the ships, breaking them up into formation. Some allied ships were caught by the waves, drowning them and killing them off. Some were pushed back and some were thrown off farther due to stronger waves.

Kayne! Kayne! Lydia shouted as the man was thrown off the boat as the waves carried the boat. Rain started pouring in as the thunder started to rage.

Kayne! She shouted as the ships started breaking down. The wind continued to howl as everything raged on.

I despise war, I abhor war...Without war, we could never have been born. Us justicar would have a better freedom.

That night of chaos, the whole enemy fleet was destroyed. Some of the allies were left alive as the storm calmed. Some boats went missing, while others were caught in them.

The others quickly tried to rescue the soldiers who fell into the water and survived. Kayne was one of them. He still couldn't fathom the power of the justicar. He looked around the destruction. He looked out over the distance as the fog covered the area.

"Lydia..." He said it in a worried tone.

The boat was crashing down from the waves. Lydia was in it all alone as the storm followed her. She grabbed a hold of the side as she embraced the impact of the crashing waves. She tried to undo the spell, but it was very hard to concentrate. She was very far from the others. She doesn't even know where she is now. A piece of wood flew over and struck Lydia, knocking her down. She lay down there on the boat as blood from the wound on her head bled out.

Mother, why are we hiding?

The world is a dangerous place for us, my dear. We are very different from others, they will hurt us and try to use us.. the woman embraced the young girl as she whispered a soothing tune to her.

It was a memory from the past. Lydia looked up at the sky as she started seeing the rainstorm turn into snowflakes.

Her memory flashed to a burning village and the sound of the cries of people. Before she blacked out
