  The warm heart in the sea of snow

Do you know what snow is? Snow has been a part of our lives since it signifies the guardian of the celestial bodies. Our place has been long guarded by the god of ice, keeping us safe from harm. When you look up into the sky, hold out your arm and feel the softness of the snow.
The woman smiled as she sat next to a young boy as she told tales of the snow. My young Eydis, your generation will be the ones to protect the frozen heartland.The woman said as she looked at the boy's innocent eyes.
Frozen heart? The boy asked.

His mother smiled as she gently caressed his head. The frozen heart is a sacred land to us. Hrothrian is the place that protects our great land, the one that freezes the enemies and shields us from the people outside.
But.. mom, are the people outside bad? Why can't we leave Hrothr? The boy asked.

My dear child, "she smiled as she kissed his forehead before standing up to tend the fireplace. The boy looked out the window to see an aurora in the night sky.

His eyes sparkled as soon as he saw a shooting star pass by. He suddenly whispered something as both his hands pressed against each other.

A place of never-ending snow, Hrothr is a peaceful country found in the southern part of Terra. It is a country guarded by snowstorms, which prevents anyone who wishes to attack the peaceful land from entering. Deep in the heart of Hrothr lies the frozen heart, a relic of the gods that serves as a shield for the land of frost.

The land of Hrothr is a place of pious people born to be followers as well as fighters. Any attackers who successfully infiltrate such territory will be met with the barbaric feats of the snow people.
The story begins with a young boy named Eydis. A young boy, who pierces even the frozen hearts of the cold.

Her mother summoned her, saying, "Come here, sweetie."

Eydis came running off to her mother as a bowl of vegetable soup was placed on the table.
He was so excited that he quickly grabbed the wooden spoon and started digging in.
This is so great, Mom! If he ever comes back, this would be a total hit! He said this while taking in a mouthful. Meanwhile, her mother, hearing this, felt a bit sad, knowing the reason for her father's absence.
In this place, being an outsider and not being born of the snow means you are deemed an enemy of the land. Eydis's father was a sailor who was lost and survived the snowstorms of the sea. She found herself lying on the shore and decided to help him.

As time went on, love sprung between the two of them. The two cared for each other and hid their relationship from the authorities... But it couldn't be hidden for long. The elder found their love forbidden, and the man answered the ways of the Hrothrian. The man was stripped naked as he walked through the mountains of never ending cold.

This hurt her to see the love of her life, a man who was so different from the stories, a man who cared so much for her, in such pain.
The elders forbade her from ever having any contact with the man.

Sadness swallowed both the woman and the man. But the heart would not rest. One night, the woman ran from her home and towards the mountain. There, she searched the mountains for the man, hoping to see his face again.Then it was this time that she finally saw him again, but... It was his last.

The man had suffered brutally from the way he was treated by the people. He was wounded and bruised and had left for the cold to take over his body.
He extends his arm, feeling the warmth of her skin. She watches her as he can only smile weakly, seeing her radiant face once. Tears fell down on her crystal blue eyes as her attention was fixed on her dying lover.
She gripped hold of him and sang a lullaby as she held him close to her. That night was the night that she believed her people had done her wrong. The ice that the people of Hrothr have given birth to...The coldness inside
