"Ivory, I think you have a call to make." Ashley winks at me. Oh my God, Chandler! I can feel myself blush but I try to hide it anyway. I grip my phone, inside my pocket and hurry off into my new bedroom. I hop onto my bed and pull out my phone and the piece of paper Chandler gave me. I dial the number nervously, hardly expecting him to answer; to my surprise, he answers almost immediately.
"Hello?" He says.
"Hi, uh Chandler?" I ask.
"Ivory? Hey! I'm so glad you called!" He sounds really cheerful.
"Yeah, well I wasn't gonna leave you hanging now was I?" I joke.
"I hope not!" He laughs. "How are you settling in at home?"
"It's incredible! I mean, my rooms like this hideous orange colour, but other than that it's so amazing!"
"Good, I'm happy you're settled. So, are you free any time next week?" He asks. "Only cuz I'd like to show you around the TWD set."
"OMG yes! That's so nice of you!" I feel myself grin from ear to ear. "Which day do you want me to come?"
"I can pick you up on Thursday if you want? Nine am?" He asks, sounding... almost nervous.
"Sure you can," I grin, "what should I wear?"
"Something that you don't mind getting gunked up with walker juices, it's going to be a fun day for you." After that, we say our goodbyes and hang up. I slump back on my bed wondering to myself if I was just asked out on a date. Imagine that, I think to myself, on the set of the Walking Dead holy fuck that is a literal dream come true.
There is a timid knock on my bedroom door, Andy walks in and smiles at me. "Ive, do you want to drive to McDonald's with me? None of us can really be bother with making really food today after such a long ass flight."
"Sure, let me just pop my shoes on. Also, I live that you called me Ive, I've never had a nickname before."
"We'll make it a thing then. Anyways hurry up, just come out in your socks, we're only going to the drive through."
"Fair enough, you'll have to carry me to the car though, because if I step in a wet patch on the floor, I might just have to cry." I joke, I'm just full of comedy today (please note my sarcasm).
"Okay then, but mind your head on the doors, its difficult enough to get through them without adding another whole person onto my back, giving me another six inches of height." He complains.
"Ugh, don't be such a negative Nancy and help me get on your back." I stop and think about what I said. "That is a sentence that I never thought would come out of my mouth."
He assists me in climbing onto his bony back and we leave the apartment. "Christ, you're light!" He laughs, throwing me up a little bit to reassert his hold on me. "What do you normally order from Mickey D's?"
"Well I like Big Macs, but I still really like Happy Meals..." My voice trails off as I realise how childish I sound.
"Happy meals? That's so cute! Juliet sill gets Happy Meals." Andy smiles. We leave the building and get into Andy's Car and drive off.
