I waited impatiently in front of the hospital for the results of Valerie's tests.

I called Matteo to ask him if he found the one who did this to her.

,,Matteo? Did you found out who it was?", I asked into the phone waiting for a respond of him.

,,Yes Boss. It was Ace. He had a mic in his ear and was the whole time speaking to someone. I don't know who it was and couldn't make it out, but I broke the mic, his phone and eventually killed him.", was his respond.

This bastard really lied to us.

,,What was he going to do?", I asked the next question, still sitting impatiently at a chair in front of her room.

,,Kill Valerie. He was secretly working for the American mafia. He wasn't the leader but one of the best assassins. Guess they have to win without him.", he said emotionless.

I sat there staring into nothing.

,,Something that would affect us?", I waited for his analyse.

Matteo was one of the best we could ever have.

There were so many liars in our team and he found every single one of them.

He was also a sniper so he has every right to kill people who snitched at us.

,,Trying to steal weapons and wanting to kill Valerie so you would feel bad for setting her in our team.", he explained.

,,Bullshit. People live and die. That's how the mafia works. Just because she's a girl, it doesn't mean I would feel bad for setting her in. I mean she went through this already one time so it doesn't really matter.", I said, a little bit angry.

My heart ached  saying this.

Yes you heard right, I am slowly falling for Valerie D'Amore.

I could just hear a dissapointed sigh from the other line before he hung up.

,,Mister Grey for Valerie D'Amore?", a nurse announced.

,,Yes.", I said and walked to her, putting my phone back into my pocket.
