I woke up to the sounds of birds chirping outside.

I wanted to stand up, but I suddenly felt something heavy on my waist.

Lucas. Sure, I yesterday fell asleep here. I turned slowly around, trying not to wake him up, to see him peaceful sleeping.

I never saw him so quiet.

I wanted to move to the end of the bed slowly, but as soon as I felt a sharp pain between my legs, I just laid there, doing nothing.

I could handle the pain, but why not laying here and listening to his even breathing?

,,Valerie, sleep.", he whispered, not opening his eyes.

How'd he-

,,Just sleep. 10 Minutes won't hurt anyone.", he continued.

He just answered to my question I had in my head, without knowing it. Scary.

His arm spooned me again, like yesterday night, from behind, so there was not even one inch left between us. And I again fell asleep.

She was sleeping peaceful in my arms. I've never saw her so calm like right now.

I looked to my alarm clock seeing it's already 11 a.m. I slowly made my way out of the bed without waking her up to make us breakfast.

I put on a new shirt while walking down the stairs into the kitchen. It was so quiet here.

Not one single person here, except me and Valerie.

There was already a pancake-mix so I just used this instead of making a whole new one. I prepared the pan and put the mixture in it.

Funny how everyone eats pancake for breakfast, 'cause no one wants to get something new so they just use what's there. But I can't blame them, I am one of them too.
