"She was soft and crisp, apples in her eyes matching the green pupils resting before she saw him. He was an image of love disguised as a hard working soul begging for freedom, and she would set him free"

Set him free

It stuck out like a nail, set him free. Was I this him she spoke of? Was she her? What was needed to be sacrificed to free him? Did she sacrifice her life to free him? He didn't want that, he wanted her.

"For the longest time I looked to my wife for strength, she was a rock with an inside made of mush and sensitivity. She knew what I needed and who I was, now I'm not sure who I am or what I need. She was the completed part of me that was missing for so long, and then I lost her again. Nicole didn't need to kill herself, if she did. I didn't need to be free of her, but maybe she thought that was best" I confessed to Julia, who listened intently.

"Don't take this the wrong way Ben, but maybe Nicole seen that you needed her so much that she wanted you to be free of your attachment to her. She knew you'd never find happiness in anything but her, and that will hold you back. She knew that you lived for her, and she stopped living for you. Maybe she just wanted you to become your own person instead of being her person. She freed you of your link to her, because she was your guidance, your happiness and she didn't want that. I could be wrong, maybe it was an accident, but from the poem she wrote it sounds like it"

She made so much sense but I was still ignorant to it. I didn't want to believe that she would take her life to let me find myself again, that was absurd.
