The toilet seat was cold. Your thighs shook partially from nervousness and partially from the porcelain feeling like an ice block. You rubbed your eyes in a vain attempt to quiet your mind, seeing faint colors after pushing on them so hard.

The timer went off. Would you dare sneak a glance? You shook your head.

Then why did you even do it if you didn't want to know? You scolded yourself. This wasn't the time to hide. The air felt crisp with tension as you reached over and picked up the piece of plastic. A washed-out light pink plus sign materialized onto it. You squeaked and dropped the pregnancy test, feeling red hot shock coat the back of your neck.

"Oh my god." Your voice barely escaped your throat. There wasn't a single distinct feeling or thought that you could grasp on to. Your brain felt like complete mush. The only thing you were sure of was that you were scared. Saeran's text tone rang across the bathroom walls, nearly making you jump. A picture of a smiling Saeyoung met your eyes as you picked up your phone. He always thought it was cute that he was your lock screen. Seeing his face made your heart jump to your throat.

SAERAN: I'll be home soon with kimchi :)

You glanced down to the pregnancy test still on the floor. You decided then to pull yourself together. You picked it up and shoved it in your back pocket. Opening the door, you walked sluggishly to your shared room with Saeyoung. You sat on the bed and looked to your boyfriend's nightstand, seeing his phone and a framed picture of the two of you resting atop it. He always left his phone to avoid being tracked on missions.

You were busy feeling hopeless when Saeran opened the front door and set down the two mini tubs of kimchi onto the kitchen table.

"(Y/N)?" He called out.

You wiped stray tears and went out to face him. You weren't sure at this point if you were glad Saeran lived with you and Saeyoung or if you just wanted to be alone. Nothing felt clear. He smiled when he saw you and gestured for you to sit down with him to eat. You obliged and pulled out the squeaky wooden chair before carefully sitting on it.

Saeran always ate like he was absolutely famished. He finished his portion in about ten seconds while you sat there and picked at your food.

"What's up with you?" He inquired, staring at your face. You bit the inside of your cheek and let out a breath.

"Are you in trouble?" He seemed genuinely concerned.

"I don't know." You whispered, scratching at the sleeve of your sweater.

"Just... tell me what happened."

Should you even tell him? The thought came big and bold into your head. You shouldn't. But you didn't know how long Saeyoung would be gone or how long you could hold this in for. Still, it felt like a betrayal.

"I'm pregnant."

You had never seen his eyes go so wide. Actually, you had never seen him express emotion so dramatically and vividly. His features twisted in what you guessed to be shock, then worry.

"What?" It seemed like that's all he could muster.

"I'm pregnant and I don't know when Saeyoung will be back. You know that I can't even contact him." Painful tears fell down your face. "He could be dead somewhere right now."

"Hey, stop it." He snapped out of whatever trance he was in. "You and I both know that he's too much of a pain in the ass to get killed by some foreign mafia."

His slight optimism surprised you as Saeran was never the type to look at the bright side. Your head fell in your hands.

"I don't know what to do." You choked down a sob. "I don't even know if he would want me to keep it."
