3 Raising Hell

It took them an hour to dry out entirely. Most time Merella assured them it wouldn't take so long. She dried out first, followed by Linzie, Tye, Axton, Mika, Jayce, Jason, Esmeralda, Ricardo, and finally her hunky Carter.

" I... don't want to be big or tall anymore. " He muttered softly while stretching. " Why does your father want me to look like that?"

" Intimidation? I imagine he did it to assure my safety. " She glanced down shyly. Blankets were brought to them by a much more sober James.

Still... naked...

" James why they hell are you still nude?" Jason asked rubbing his temples.

" Hey, I was partying. Why not?" He asked playfully. " 'Sides, why be shy about it when we are constantly shifting. I've shredded so many clothes I'm about to become a nudist. "

Jason groaned. "Please don't. I don't want or need to see you walking around with everything on display all day every day. " He sighed. " Pack meeting. We have some things to discuss. Children as well. We need every avaliable person. "

Tye gave him a curious glance. " Why the kids? " He asked almost afraid. Those kids were ruthless. He was honestly afraid to be on their bad side.

Jason grinned. " Well, someone has to go with the Omega group. Who better?"

" An adult..." Mika answered wearily.

Tye shook his head. " No. He is right. Farven has Vampires. We have... Assassin Children. " He answered pulling his blanket around his shoulders more. " Those kids have incredible abilities. They have seen your training. Watched every lesson of every other pack we've come across. They are ready for their rite of passage. "

Jason nodded. " And you think you make a terrible Luna. You know them well. " He smiled.

" That seems so cruel. They are just children. " Esmeralda said softly.

" My pack is cruel. It is how we keep you safe Esme. They learn on their own. I don't force them. It is in their blood. Wakinyan are the reason you sleep without being hunted. " Jason answered. He was proud of his people, and not in the least bit offended by his friend. They didn't understand how his pack worked, but they did understand that they were safe because of him.

She looked as of she wanted to protest. Ricardo shook his head. " No. Don't Amour. He is right. "

Jayce nodded. " Sneaky little shits. They wont be seen unless they want to. It is a litrle frieghtening. "

Axton chuckled softly, and pulled Linzie close with his blanket wrapped around his waist. " I've sparred with a few before. It was horrible. Took me down in an heartbeat. "

Jason laughed. " You shouldn't have started it. "

" Over pizza to! I told you my little girl wasn't one to just let you take the last slice. " James chimed in.

They collectively groaned. " Go get dressed asshole! " Tye snapped. " Just go.. and remember to gather everyone!"

" Yes Luna. " He said laughing as he started back into town.

The walk back to the pack house was quiet. The town was literally silent.

" I think i prefer the music... " Linzie said quietly. " This is creepy. "

Jason smiled a little. " Yes. It is. That is our life though. Party to forget and celebrate. Silence is for the dead, or rites of passage, important meetings and such. A coming of age ceremony will be announced and our trip as well. "
