Author's Point of View:

they come back to thoma walking back and forth in front of jean's office. "thoma, I know you're worried but the knights of favonius headquarters is a busy place. I'd appreciate it if you didn't walk back and forth."

"oh, sorry! I'll just go and look for them alright-" thoma was cut off by the doors opening, and it revealing the guard opening the door for kazuha who's holding a asleep Y/N in his hands.

"I don't think you'll be needing to do that no more." jean chuckled, as thoma just ran to them and hugged them tightly, well kazuha, that is. "you guys worried me there! I thought Y/N ran off by herself!" thoma pulled away and looked at the startled Y/N.

kazuha gently put her down as she rubbed her tired, puffy eyes. "thoma? why'd you do that.." she mumbled as she yawned. "I was worried yknow!" thoma replied.

"oh damn, didn't know you were worried. sorry thoma," Y/N chuckled and hugged kazuha after, immediately falling asleep once again. "you sleepy head.." kazuha patted her head and carried her once again. "damn you guys, I'm feeling very single right now."

"please, do not look at us that way. she merely looks at me as a friend, and as a dear companion. no more further." kazuha smiled and walked out of the place, as thoma just scratched his neck out of pressure.

"haha, looks like you're getting pressured by minor mistakes." jean chuckled and went back inside her office. thoma just sighed and bid his goodbyes.

"it's night time now, huh. I'll go ahead now jean! goodnight and take care!" thoma went ahead, knowing that kazuha is waiting outside with Y/N in his arms, still asleep.

"alright! you too!" jean yelled back as she closed the door. thoma smiled and went to reunite with the two waiting outside.

kazuha walked outside, with Y/N still fast asleep on his hands. his eyes held pain and disappointment, but ignored it nonetheless and smiled at her peaceful sleep.

"it is quite unfortunate that I failed to catch your heart, but I'll be here to support you. only the winds will tell, if I move on.. and continue my mission. even without you, I'll continue to strive my best effort on every challenges I go through. and I hope you do too, even without me." kazuha smiled.

looking up, he saw how the moon shone down on them, highlighting Y/N's skin tone. "it's such a waste, the moon is shining down on us right now. it would've been better, if...-"

"kazuha! sorry I was late, had to say goodbye to jean before I went out." thoma exclaimed, as kazuha only smiled. "it's alright," he smiled.

"can you come here for a second?" kazuha asked, thoma was confused but obliged anyway.

as soon as thoma came close, kazuha gently handed Y/N's sleeping body over to thoma's arms and smiled once again. "take care of her for me, alright?" thoma looked at him with the most confused and scared expression, kazuha's eyes obviously holding back something from coming out.
