Author's Point of View:

diluc entered the domain once again, just right after they panicked to get out of the place. he tried to follow albedo's path by the light footprint depths he left. while trying to find footprints, he accidentally let his guard down for a second.

'somethings coming!'

he immediately stood up and blocked the arrow coming for his neck when he was in a squatting position. "I shouldn't let my guard down.." he scoffed. he continued on his way but faster this time.

things like arrows, knives, and boar traps suddenly appeared when he ran through the halls.

'fatui.. far more insufficient than the knights.''

he continued his way until the hall ended in a dead end. he examined the wall, it seemed impossible for it to be the dead end already after so many traps that only a naive person would fall for.

"impossible, he can't be that far from here."

"what're you possibly mumbling for?" a man spoke. diluc immediately looked behind him to see a man, probably not even near his age.

"what is a child like you doing in this,, kind of place?" the man seemed to not be pleased by diluc's statement. "for your information, I'm a thousand years older than you."

the man with purple hair walked towards diluc, he felt anxious by this man'a actions and backed away. "oh? you're scared, aren't you?" diluc scoffed and glared at him.

"how sharp of you, you knew my plan right before I even acted on it." the man chuckled. "what do you want?" the man only laughed at him in response.

"I just want one thing, something simple. and that is.."

"Y/N."

diluc's eyes widened when he announced what his desire was, after all the trouble he went through, just for her? he glared back at the man, he didn't feel like giving up an innocent citizen. no, not even jean or barka would.

"you won't be able to take her that easily." the man scowled at him in response. "why do you keep protecting people you don't even know? you knights don't know a thing or two about that woman." diluc frowned at him.

"there's no need for me to answer, you won't understand a thing or two about kondness." the man looked daggers at diluc. diluc scoffed and a proud smirk was plastered on his face. "I think we both relate to what you said, you don't know how to be kind to your brother, if I remember correctly." diluc was stunned by what the man said.

"you do not have the right to speak of that matter." diluc muttered out. "and you don't have the right to say I know nothing about that woman. in fact, I know everything about her." diluc glared daggrers at him, while he only laughed at diluc.
