thoma hurriedly ran to tell jean about it, but when he arrived at the office, jean was already waiting for him. "oh, thoma! 0erfect timing! I was just about to inform you about something that was reported to me directly."

"j-jean! my friend! she's missing!" jean sighed and nidded, whilst thoma was panting after running around the city. "yes yes, that's why I was just about to go look for you." jean had a frowned plastered on her face, and invited thoma inside to discuss about her sudden disappearance.

"according to what you saw, when did she went missing, or how?" jean asked, as thoma thought about it and remembered seeing someone holding Y/N by the mouth and dragging her somewhere far away by the window.

"I remember... a man with a mask on his eyes dragging Y/N somewhere.." thoma mumbled, while jean only frowned by hearing the word "mask on his eyes". "it can't be... the fatui took Y/N? but for what reason?" thoma's eyes widened, thinking that maybe this might be related to the "puppet" made by raiden shogun back then. but how does he know about that? and how does he know it's related to the "puppet"? no one knows.

"I-I have an idea on why they might have took her... but this is a private matter, I can't just tell anyone." thoma sighed while jean just nodded. "but how will we help? we won't be able to help you without any information now can we?" jean spoke.

"let me tell you some information then..." thoma whispered at jean's ear, which then made everything clear to jean, well half of it, if we're gonna be specific. "I see, what can we do to help?"

"it's better off if we actually let them be—" "are you serious??!" jean stood up with her hands on the table, startling thoma. "I-I'm sorry but I don't know what to do!" thoma held his head in disappointment, while jean just sighed.

"their meeting today will be canceled, we'll try to track down the one who kidnapped her. tell us where she went missing, and let go investigate." jean announced, as she herself volunteered to go with thoma. thoma nodded and lead her to the gates off monstandt.

jean then looked around and investigated the place. "it seems like they used their element to take her away," jean spoke, just when she was about to stand up, she felt like something wasn't right. she summoned her sword and blocked an attack coming from thoma.

"thoma!? why are you doing this?!" jean dodged thoma's attacks and sent him flying. "perhaps I'm not the real thoma," thoma smirked and ran away, leaving jean confused.

she stood there for a minute, trying to decipher the events that had just happened. "was thoma also kidnapped by the fatui..?" jean asked herself, she stood up and thought about it, "I think I have an idea to where they are.."

jean hurried and informed a few of the knights of favonius members. she called kaeya, amber, albedo and diluc to her office. "I have called you all here for a reason. so please, take a seat." jean spoke.

they all sat and nodded at jean. "so to make this quick, thoma and Y/N was taken hostage by the fatui. they're a visiting citizen here in monstandt, we cannot let this danger continue. I have an idea to where they might be." they all seemed shocked, especially albedo.

"–one question, isn't Y/N the girl I'm supposed to meet at 3 PM today? "albedo spoke up. "yes, the truth is, she was on her way for you guys' meet up. but the fatui got on the way." jean explained, as albedo hummed and nodded.

"did you somehow meet an impostor, sort of?" albedo asked once again, jean was startled by his sudden question. "yes...? why do you ask?" albedo shook his head, he seemed wary about the topic.

"it's nothing, please continue discussing the details." albedo excused himself and stopped interrupting, as jean nodded with a determined look. "the 'impostor' thoma I met explained that Y/N was taken by a man with a mask on his eyes. it seems like thoma also went missing."

"thoma? if I remember correctly, he's the one who used to live here right?" kaeya asked. jean nodded and was about to speak up when diluc suddenly spoke. "the fatui took them? for what dumb reason would they take them for?"

"that's what we are trying to figure out, but as much as I know, thoma said that it has something to do with Y/N originating from inazuma." jean explained, while diluc just scoffed at her statement. "please cooperate with me, we can't fail this one." they all nodded at her as they started discussing their plan.

they went to the place where jean thought that they might be in. "are you sure about this, jean?" kaeya asked, while jean just nodded and went first inside the place.

'I have a bad feeling about this,,'

as they all marched inside, jean was already nowhere to be seen. they thought that maybe she's just somewhere near, but it has been hours ever since they've been walking around the place. they fought, walked and repeat.

"we've been walking around for hours! don't you guys think we should go out—"

"master jean is here, we can't leave her here." albedo responded. "but it's been hours! and I think we explored the whole place already!" they all sighed and sat down.

"think about it, amber. are you really gonna leave jean alone here? with the fatuis all around this place?" kaeya sighed, having a feeling that amber is right.

then suddenly, a knife went flying, and was about to hit albedo's neck when he avoided it and used his hand instead as a defense. "where'd that come from?!" amber yelled, while kaeya only pushed her away from the place she was standing.

another knife was about to hit amber. "let's get out of here! we won't be able to get master jean! may it be good or bad that we lost her, we gotta get out of here to survive!" kaeya exclaimed as he dragged amber and lisa's hand to run along with him. while diluc and albedo both ran individually.

"but master jean—!"

"would you rather have a fake master jean or we do something to find her?" albedo cut amber off, as amber just sighed and continued running with them.

"it's better this way, they won't have anyone to rely on."

after a few monutes of running around, they finally found an exit. "let's go!" kaeya dragged both lisa and amber with him, but amber was hit by something, or someone. she lost her grip and was about to let go of kaeya's hand when kaeya gripped her hands tighter.

when they all got out, amber already fainted. bloodnwas all over her head, it seems like she hit it hard. "this is bad, we gotta take her back to monstant before the situatiok gets more worse." kaeya spoke.

"you guys go first, I have to do something." lisa glared at albedo, knowing that he was up to something. "right after an incident? is it that urgent?" lisa asked, while albedo didn't reply and just turned his back against them.

"yes, it is that urgent." he spoke and went back inside the place. all of them looked at each other, they were all taken by surprise to what he did.

"I'm gonna go after him, you guys take amber back to monstandt. I'll make sure he does nothing that go against our plan." diluc explained. when kaeya was about to disagree with him, lisa dragged him and whispered something into his ear.

"don't make the sitaution worse by arguing with your brother."

lisa glared at him and dragged him along with amber laying in her arms. diluc nodded and went after albedo. "he's for sure not gonna get away with what he's planning."
