Chapter 4

(Y/N POV)

I sat down on a chair and opened one of the books I had gotten so I could start reading them. They had been checked out for so long and it turns out that one of the books had even been stolen by the abyss order. I wonder why they wanted it in the first place, maybe the leader was bored. I opened it up and read the Title, "The Pale Princess And The Six Pygmies" Seemed interesting enough and I started to read it.

I groggily opened my eyes and waited for the pain in my back from falling asleep in a chair but it wasn't there. I opened my eyes fully and realized I was laying in my bed and quickly sat up trying ti figure out how I got there since I had fallen asleep in my chair. I got up and went to change my clothes and chose (outfit of your choice). I finished getting dressed and headed downstairs to make breakfast only to be greeted with a very large mess in the kitchen. I groaned and started to clean up as I quietly cursed my roomate out. at least I know how I got to my bed though. Now that I think about it it's weird, I've never met my roomate face to face, we just talk through notes and they always leave before I can find them. Eh whatever thats not to important

(3 hours later)

I sat at starfell lake looking at the last thing on list of things I was supposed to do for the knights and saw that it involved dealing with a small hilichurl camp nearby. I got up from the rock I was resting on and started walking towards the area readying my weapon as I got closer to the camp. My vision began to glow as I started sprinting once a hilichurl noticed me only to stop once I reized the camp was already cleared out and suddenly the hilichurl fell and turned to dust as a flaming arrow layed on the grass where the hilichurl fell for a few seconds before going out.

" Oh, Hey Y/n, What are you doing here? and shouldn't you be home resting, I heard you got badley injured not to long ago" I heard the oh so familiar voice of my favorite and probably the only outrider.

"Huh? Oh! pffft that ridiculous thing!? It might as well be gone at this point!" I laughed out and showing amber the small scar that was left from it. "Also I could ask you the same thing, I thought I was commissioned to take care of this camp, so what are you doing here?" I asked Amber ready to go curse out Katherine if she sent both of is if she believed one of us couldn't do it alone.

"Ah sorry about that! I was just heading back from some hunting and I noticed the camp and decided I should take care of it before someone get's hurt, I had no idea you were coming to deal with it!" Amber laughed nervously.

"Eh whatever it's fine, just less work for me." I shrugged and proceeded to walk away trying as hard as possible to not run away.

"Oh, Alright then! Have a good night! Can't wait to see you at tomorrow's check-in!" Amber called out behind me as I began to walk faster.

"OMG OMG OMGGGG, Amber talked to me!  And she said she can't wait to see me at the check-in tomorrow!!!!" I squealed jumping up and down at stormbearer mountains. "wait check-in?" I thought as I suddenly remembered that Amber and Jenna were doing check-ins with all the newbies today and tommorow and I was supposed to go tommorow since I signed up last. "OOO MAYBE I CAN ASK TO GEY MOVED TO THE LIBRARY! AND I CAN FINALLY GET MY TIME WITH LISA!" I exclaimed. sprinting back to my house and about to open the door when it hit me in the face.

"OH 💩! Y/N ARE YOU OKAY!?" A voice cried as I felt the world start to go dark again, "I'M SORRY I DIDNT MEAN TO KILL YOU I JUST DIDNT EXPECT YOU TO BE HERE SO E-"the voice started fading out and I realized this was probably my roomate and I had just missed my chance to meet them, how sad.

Once again, the end of a chapter, erm as I type this I am now realizing it's been 8 months since the last update and I'm am very sorry about that, I got very caught up with school forgot about this 😭
