Chapter 7

(Y/N POV)
"Wait you can't leave now though! the lease isn't up! And who will I room with? I'm to broke to live on my own!" I cried grabbing onto Aethers leg as he packed a bag to head of for Snezhnaya.

"Sorry but I have to find my sister, I'll leave some mora so you can pay rent but this is important!" He said kicking me off from him and making his way to the door, his little fairy friend following him. I tried to rush after and stop him but he had already left using a teleport waypoint to leave.

"This is so stupid, now I have to find another new roomate." I grumbled as I stood at the open doorway and slowly closed it. I walked over to the armchair by the fireplace and slid down into it. taking apeek oit the window I noticed a light snow had begun to fall. "I hope that asshole slips." I grumbled to myself. I checked my pocket watch, 9:57. "Well, guess I have nothing better to do besides go to sleep." I said trudging over to my room and sliping into my nightgown before drifting off to sleep

I woke up in what seemed like middle of the night, confused I rubbed my eyes and tore open my blinds to see nothing but darkness. Checking the time I see it's 7:32 in the morning. I quickly got dressed and hurried over to the door to see what the deal with outside was. When I entered into the kitchen I noticed that the sun was peeking in through the windows so why was it so dark in my room? I put some red boots on and opened the door to see what appeared to be some scene straight from a book. Colorful lanterns were strewn across the neigbors yards and a glittery garland decorated the sides of the snow covered walking paths. Klee and Timmy ran past my door giggling as they held a few candy canes and cookies in their hands. Realizing what this meant I closed the door and groaned. "Where did they even get time to decorate for this?" I mumbled before heading back to my room. I unlocked the window and pushed against the window a bit to open it before all the snow and ice that had gotten on it fell off, adding to the ever growing pile of snow on the ground. I sighed and looked out the window before closing it and going to prepare breakfast for the day before afterwards heading out to stop by the library and return the books I had borrowed. "Morning Miss Lisa!" I said to her as I slid the books onto her desk.

"Good morning to you to Y/N! And please drop the formalities, just call me Lisa." Lisa said greeting me with a warm smile on her face that instantly made me light up

"Oh, yeah sure. Sorry about that Mi-" I started but then stopped myself "Lisa" I said before taking a peek at the book shelf by her desk, eyeing for anything that caught my eye, but also just to stay and chat with Lisa for a bit longer.

"Say, Y/N, Would you care for some tea, I would usually have some later but it seems fitting for the cold weather to be having it in the colder mornings then afternoons." Lisa said to me as she stood from her desk to go boil some tea in her cauldron. Just the thought of it though, sitting drinking tea with Lisa warms me up.

"Of course! Some tea would be amazing!" I told her. "With this weather it wou-" I started before turning to notices that Lisa had already gone off to boil the tea. Sighing to myslef I combed through the books on the shelves, looking for something that caught my eye. Of course though, nothing did. I've read the books on this shelf multiple times.

"Y/N, I'm back~" Lisa called, carrying two cups of tea back to her desk. I took a cup from Lisa and took in the smell of peppermint that wafted out of the tea. I took a small sip of the tea and enjoyed it's warmth. I looked up and noticed Lisa rummaging through her draw.

"What are you looking for?" I asked her. She pulled out two candy canes and gave me one. I took the candy cane and set my tea down to open it.

"You mentioned not to long ago you loved candy canes but they were always sold out when you went to get them, so I bought you one." Lisa said with a warm smile on her face. I thanked her and broke of a piece of the candy cane, popping it into my mouth.

Thats the chapter for now kinda short. Sorry to have taken so long to get it out, I've been stuggling with my mental health and had to take a break from everything for a bit.
