The stage under her feet was the only applause she needed, to feel that strong support beneath her silk slippers. For a ballet dancer she was a giver, for it was learned early to deal with pain in a way that makes the art better, to channel it into a new form of energy, for in that transformation she is transformed into true art. She was this dancer, yet only when she wore the blue slippers. She was a natural, they say, a prodigy. Yet the ability left her when her heart was broken by the ones nature and God trusted to protect her. Why dance if there is not a soul you trust to read it right? To whom are you communicating and what are you saying? And then he came. A new person with some bond that transcended reality, space and time. She knew she loved you right from the start. Perhaps that's why she began to dance again, why she rediscovered her blue ballet slippers. She needed to speak to him and this is how her soul talks. She guesses the average person simply opens their mouths and lets words spill out... her soul is wired differently... maybe all dancers are. Why the shoes were blue? She's really not sure, but blue connects to her soul in a way other colours can't... it's a sort of emotional 'on switch.'
