Purple Band-Aids (ShinKami)

Chapter Twenty-Three

"So you snuck out of my room at the ass crack of dawn to get me purple Band-Aids to write on for me so that I wouldn't hurt myself? I don't know," Kaminari laughs, "it's starting to seem like you actually tolerate me."

Shinso rolls his eyes as they eat together, of course, watching a movie. Kaminari is obsessed with musicals and had Shinso watching them on repeat.

"Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night."

Kaminari just smiles to himself as they both kind of fall into the movie. Kaminari knows all the lines, but would die before letting Shinso know that.

Shinso desperately wants to ask about Kaminari's mom and what's going to happen. He just doesn't want to send Kaminari into a spiral or ask questions that he knows aren't his business. Sue him if he wants to be the only person that Kaminari trusts with that information with.

It's not like he wants special treatment like that. Pfft, no.

Okay, he does, but that's okay because Shinso has a crush on Kaminari and is allowed to want to be something more than a friend to Kaminari.

Even a best friend title would make Shinso scream.

As it is, Shinso wants to cry with how much Kaminari has already trusted him with.

Kaminari's life is so chaotic, and Shinso doesn't know if Kaminari knows that.

Here's the list.

1.) Kaminari's dad took advantage of him since he was a child.

2.) His mom put way too much pressure on him for school.

3.) While dealing with #2, he had to deal with his dad.

4.) 1, 2, and 3 pushed Kaminari to self harm which he also had to hide.

5.) He's had to deal with multiple villain attacks at school where he thought he was safe.

6.) Hiding this all became too much and Mineta ended up finding out and using it against him for a whole bunch of selfish reasons.

7.) When #1 came out and since he's in the top school, it became public fast and he had to deal with the negative words that people had to say.

8.) His mom, even now that she knows about what her husband did, is still talking to said husband.

9.) His mom is mad at Kaminari now.

Shinso sighs as he goes over the list.

In a moment of brief fearlessness, Shinso scoots down on the bed slightly and hugs Kaminari's arm, resting his head on his shoulder. It makes Kaminari tense for just a second before he relaxes.

Shinso had finished his food, but Kaminari hadn't. The blond still sets his plate aside and gets more comfortable, leaning more into Shinso's space, which didn't even bother said boy.

In fact, it seemed as if though the boy was more comfortable with the closeness.

Kaminari was unsure for a bit, but the idea of Shinso brought a feeling of warmth.

Oh god, he's so fucked.

School was never fun, but ever since everything came out, the teachers gave him sorry looks and Kaminari despised it with his whole being.

Mic called on him way less than before.

Cementoss kind of smiles awkwardly at him.

Ectoplasm just didn't know how to talk to him anymore.
