A/N: I SWEAR THIS IS THE LAST TIME I'M CHANGING THE COVER DONT HATE ME! Oh, by the way, I came up with a different storyline so both the kids live. YAY!

Elsa's POV

He can't do this to them.

He can't do this to me.

He won't do this to them.

He won't do this to me.

I won't let him.

"That's it." It's been an hour since Gaston came by. My children could be dead by now. "I'm tired of waiting for the police. I'm going." I stood up.

"Elsa," Jack stood up behind me. "It's too dangerous. Don't you remember what happened to you last time?"

"Last time I wasn't armed."

He sighed in acceptance. "Alright." he walked over to the basement door. "Follow me."

We walked down the basement steps towards a locked cabinet.

"What is this?" I asked.

"This," he gestured. "Is how I'm going to help you."

He pulled a key out of his pocket and unlocked the cabinet.

I gasped. This. Is. Incredible. On the left, there was a royal looking purple cape with a blue brooch. On the right, it was Jack's staff, but there was something different about it. It looked frosty.

"Like it?" He said smirking.

"How did you-"

"A year ago. I was following a lead, which turned out to be false, to find you. Sent me all the way to Norway and an old kingdom called Arrendelle."

"That sounds familiar..." I mumbled. He didn't hear me.

"There's this old legend called The Snow Queen. It's REALLY long, but the bottom line is that there was a queen of this kingdom that could control ice and snow."

"So, I went inside of the castle hoping to find you, but I found the cape instead. It supposedly belonged to the Snow Queen. It seemed just to radiate, and don't think I'm childish for saying this, magic."

"Magic? You mean..?"

"Yes, the ice powers of the Snow Queen."

There was a moment of silence before I asked, "What about your staff?"

"Now that's the weird part. Remember what I said about magic?" I nodded. "Well, I was carrying it and, here comes the weird part, ice shot of the brooch and hit my staff."

Okay... I want to believe him, but I can't.

"You expect me to believe that?" I said skeptically.

"No. But I can prove it." He grabbed the staff and held it like a soldier would hold a gun. It began to glow and ice shot out of the curved part and froze a section of the basement wall.

My eyes widened.

"Okay, I believe you just don't shoot me."

He chuckled.

"Try it on."

"What?"

"The cape. Try it on."

I turned towards the cabinet and took the cape off of its hook. As soon as I connected the pin, I felt a surge of power within me.

"I-I feel amazing. Like I could do anything."

"Try it out." Jack calmly said.

I raised my hand and pointed it at the wall. I could see it give off a faint blue glow right before ice flew through the air and hit the wall.
