Raychel's POV

I walked into my kitchen getting a quick snack. My stomach growled as it felt deprived of food. "Mom is there anything in the mail?" I hollered.

"Not yet hon, don't worry you'll get in," she said nicely. "Oh I know," I said. She liked it when I had that attitude.

I always remember her words "if you ever want to make it far in the world, you have to have sass and remember your the best person in the world." A really weird thing to tell me but she kind of forced it on me.

But I mean she just wants to see me go far so it's for the best, I guess... There was a hum of a truck. I paused and heard it stop at our mail box.

I ran outside like a crazy child. My driveway just turned into a mile long road cause my run took forever.

I tossed mail everywhere. Taxes, magazines blah blah blah, ST. CLAIRE!

I toor open the letter and ran over the words. 'We are pleased to say that you are accepted-' I didn't even finish to read it.

"I made it! I made it!" I screamed as I ran back inside. "Congrats hon!" She said excitedly. "I can't believe I made it, I mean of course I made it," I corrected myself. Mia and I are going rock the show circuit and the horse competing team this year.

I pulled up by the school barn with my trailer and my bags. This barn is 3 times bigger than my house. I led Mia off the trailer and walked up to my new coach. "You must be Raychel?" She smiled. "Yes ma'am, and where do I put my stuff?"

She showed me Mia's new stall. I was kind of jealous of how much room she had. I had my own little tack room. Well dang.

The tour of the barn almost took an hour. "Ok now take your bags and go to the office to register yourself in and they'll have students to show you around," my instructor said. "Ok thank you," I said as I got my bags.

I sped walked to the office. My future is about to start, in 3, 2, 1, "hello L.A. Your day just got brighter," I yelled as I walked in.

There were 2 girls and 3 boys already in there. They all looked at me weirdly except for one. He was blonde and had blue eyes. But I'm not here for him. I'm here for my new life.

Zachs POV

"Hello L.A. Your day just got brighter," a girl barged in. Well damn what an entrance. Even though this girl seemed like her ego was practically glowing she was gorgeous. She had long brown hair and green eyes.

While Jack was busy mingling with Breighton I went up to this new girl.

"Hi I'm Zach Clayton and I'm guessing your the girl who will brighten L.A.'s day," I said holding out my hand.

She giggled. Damn! That giggle though! "I'm Raychel," she replied as she shook my hand. I pulled my hand away nervously as I realized the hand shake lasted longer then it should.

"Well how did you get here?" I asked. She shifted her weight uncomfortably, "I'm a show jumper and I do cross country."

"Oh so your that rich horse rider type," I assumed. She raised her eyebrow, "no I'm the bitch who will brighten your day." She winked and walked over to hand over her registration papers. I gotta say this girl got me wondering.

She's different. A lot different. Well this school is about to get a lot more... Interesting. When Raychel was done she walked outside. "Wait!" I chased after her. She turned around and watched me run towards her.

"Can I show you around, I mean cause you won't be able to find your way with out me," I boasted. She raised her eyebrow. "I mean I guess I could just go look for another girl who'd love for me to help," I shrugged.

"And I could easily find another guy who would," she added. "Cocky huh?" I asked. "Maybe you should look at yourself," she remarked. Usually girls attitudes bother me, but I like hers.

"Well I guess I'll see you around," I said making my way back. "Wait!" She called out. I smirked and turned back around. "I'm sorry," she said, "I'm not usually open but I feel like I can trust you."

"Well I'm not the type to go judging or telling secrets," I shrugged. She smiled, "I'd be happy for you to show me around." I smiled back as she finally caved in.

We walked into the school. I showed her the classes she's going to have. I have a few classes with her which is pretty cool.

Then I showed her some other places that are known as the "hang outs"

"So what made you all of a sudden so nice," I asked. She looked down, "well I'm not the girl who has this big ego and is so full of myself as I make myself look." "Ya no kidding," I joked.

She looked at me and smirked, "no I was raised to have a big ego so I can make it far. I don't know what's up with that method, I never really liked it." "Then why do you do it?" I asked. She sighed, "to please my mom. But that's one of the reasons why I left to go here, to be myself."

I turned to face her, "then what is the real you." She looked into my eyes and smiled, "I'm still trying to find that out."
