Morgan's - Persistence

Before Morgan had gone to sleep next to me, she had forced Bruce and daddy to put the TV into the medic room, she had refused to leave my side, she had looked at my arms and the stitches "I'm not letting you, get hurt Mags" she whispered, Loki had paced back and forth outside the room, Morgan had told him he could have the chair next to the hospital bed, he had refused, I was just happy that she was safe, I wanted to hug her and squeeze her, when Loki heard my thoughts he stopped in his tracks "beasty... you know I can read minds?" she nodded "yes Loki" he looked at her "she wants your hugs" Morgan laid down next to me and gently wrapped her arms around me "I love you mags" I knew Loki was watching, I thought loudly again, tell her I love her too... I'm just exhausted, he nodded and told her.

Morgan had barely slept and noticed Loki was sleeping on the chair next to the hospital bed, she looked at him, yep he's going to like her, she thought to herself, she got down from the hospital bed and found a marker "gone to bathroom and to get something to drink" she quickly ran, he woke up and looked at his hand "beasty..." he got up and waited outside the bathroom, he took the protecting Morgan very serious, she looked at him "you need to protect Maggie too, what if he's going to steal her again?" she said while tears was building up in her eyes "come here beasty, she's sleeping, let's go back to her, are you going to be the brave one? I'll get you something..." they both froze, their eyes went wide, "Ma-Ma-Maggie?" Morgan stuttered, while I was ripping all the needles out of my arms with a panic in my eyes "I need to get back to Morgan" I repeated over and over, Morgan got up into the hospital "MAGGIE!" she yelled into my face, my eyes went wide "am I hallucinating?" she shook her head "no..." she took a huge inhale and covered my ears "DADDY!!!!!!!!!!" she yelled before she locked her arms around my neck, I grid my teeth a little, but it was worth it, I looked at Loki, he gave me a smile, he knew I wanted to thank him.

Daddy and the others came running, I looked at them while my arms were around Morgan, daddy ran over and wrapped his arms around us, while he kissed our foreheads, I grid my teeth, but I didn't say anything they all looked at me "how did you manage to keep him occupied? Distracted" I looked at daddy "I got a smart mouth, and I'm a Stark, besides, I think he wanted to toy with me, but he got paranoid, which I knew you guys had scared him..." Morgan looked at them, "that's her way to say Tha..." I cut her off "thanks ears dropper, and the rest of you too" Morgan and daddy looked at me all surprised "oh come on... I've said thank you before..." Morgan caressed my cheeks "it's okay to cry" I looked at her and gave her a small smile "I'm okay pumpkin".

Loki looked at me but didn't say anything, Morgan looked at him, before she looked at the others "I told you she's better than any of you" Nat smiled a little "you were right Morgan" she said, Morgan noticed that I wanted to get out of the bed "no you need to rest..." I looked at her "I just need to check something..." daddy looked at me "check what?" I looked at him "If I can feel my feet..." they looked at me, Wanda looked into my head and stood with a sad look in her eyes "she just wants to try and stand up" daddy took my hands and helped me onto my feet "what is it that you want to check" I grid my teeth, and took a step, I nearly fell, which made Morgan jump "I'm fine, I'm fine" with a shaky voice, my feet were in pain, but I could feet them, which made me smile "okay I can lay back down again, daddy helped me back onto the bed, I sighed "I could really eat a big juicy burger" he laughed "I'll get you one honey" I nodded, Morgan laid down with me, I had her in my arms, when the others left except for Loki "why didn't you tell them?" I looked at him "tell them what?" he noticed I had covered Morgans ears "the dry ice..." he said quietly, I looked at Morgan "you want to save her ears?" he asked I nodded before I fell asleep.

Daddy returned with the burgers and saw I was sleeping "she must be exhausted" daddy said quietly "really Stark you think?" Sam said sarcastically behind him, which surprised daddy, Thor came over to Loki "brother if you're tired I can watch them" Loki looked at Thor "no brother, I'm certainly not tired" he hissed at Thor, he tried not to wake us up.

A few hours later I woke up Morgan was staring at me "you were mumbling Mags" she whispered, I looked at her "oh, it's nothing pumpkin, Loki was watching me "are you okay darling?" he asked "yes greasy" I answered with a small smirk, he smiled, he smiled "you were sleeping when your father returned with the burgers, I can get him to heat it for you" he looked at me when my stomach started to rumble "yes please, I'd like that" he got up and went out to tell daddy, daddy came in "one or two burgers honey?" I looked at him "just one daddy" he left to heat up the burger, Loki sat down again, Sam, Steve and Bucky stuck their heads in "how are you feeling?" Steve asked, I shrugged my shoulders "fine I guess..." Bucky looked at me, he knew I wasn't fine, I looked away from he's intensely staring, Morgan looked at me "you're never allowed to be alone again, mags" I looked at her, she looked at me with a genuine face expression, she looked worried, I kissed her cheek "I'm okay pumpkin".
