"Hyunjin, can you accompany me out?"

Hyunjin ignored your question. He just sat in his room, playing games with headphones plugged into his ears. Since he found out that it was your mum who 'lit the fire' that time, he turned cold to you.

No, it's not that he didn't love you anymore. He just needed time to accept the fact that the mum of the girl he loved almost killed his mum. Even though, yes, it might not be entirely true since you were still in the process of restoring all your memories.

You sighed softly then closed the door and left the house. Before you left, you put a sticky note on the dining table.

You opened your chat with your mum which showed the location where she was. Because of her business, it was very difficult for you to be able to meet her. But after a few days, your mum finally had time to talk to you.

You used Hyunjin's car and ran through the city which was now kinda empty. Some adults who were still carrying out their daily activities looked so sad and unmotivated. You knew, they hadn't 'changed', but if this continued, the whole city would die.

The maps application directed you to a mountain, more precisely to a luxury hotel located on the edge of a cliff. You were a little impressed by the beauty of the hotel, but at the same time, you felt a little familiar with the environment around the hotel.

You didn't know, it felt like you'd been here before.

After handing over your car to the valet staff, you entered the lobby. Since earlier, you had been confused by the police who were on guard around the hotel, you didn't even know what was happening. Suddenly you were greeted by someone who looked like a hotel manager with a cheerful face.

"Miss Y/n ? Come with me, the CEO is waiting."

You nodded, slightly surprised by your mum being called as CEO. Since your dad died, you really didn't want to know your mum's job. As you knew, she worked out of town and occasionally came home to take care of the branch office.

You never thought this 'Mater' hotel was your mum's.

You entered the room, a special room for the CEO or owner of this hotel. Your mum was sitting there, on the chair and table made of ebony. It looked very elegant and suited her so much.

The manager bowed respectfully to your mum then left the room and closed the door. Your mum smiled, then immediately stood up and walked over to you.

"Hey, I'm sorry for being too busy. You must miss me, hum? Are you okay ?"

"U-uh, yes mum. How about you ?"

"Well, as you know how busy I am. Since the recent incident has gotten worse, the city government has chosen this hotel as a home for residents who have lost their family members. That's why there are so many police officers here."

You nodded, so that's why the manager greeted you and took you to your mum's room. The staff were busy taking care of the residents.

"Then what do you want to talk about, Y/n ? Ah, how about while having lunch? I will order a special menu from-"

"No need, mum. I don't have much time."

Yes, you kept remembering Chan's words to always be with Hyunjin. Even though he's not close to you right now, you won't eat and drink anything if it's not from Hyunjin's house.

"Okay, Y/n. What do you want to ask ?"

You sighed, a little hesitant to ask your mum about this. But when you remembered 'that' incident again, you were sure to ask her again.
